This tree topper is very pretty and the price was reasonable. Shipping was fast and it arrived in perfect condition. It looks beautiful on the tree.My only thing is the description made it sound like it blinked or twinkled or something and it doesn’t do any of those things. It is just lit up solid when it is on or it is off. Also, the cord is really short and my tree doesn’t have a built in plug at the top of the tree for a topper, so I had to get a green extension cord and try to hide it inside the branches of the tree. No on/off switch either. If it is plugged in it is on, unplugged is off. I used a power strip to plug in the tree topper extension cord and the cord for the tree and that works better, that option gives me one switch to flip to turn both on and off and also makes it easier and safer for my 7 year old to turn the tree on if she wants to.

This golden Christmas Star is lovely with its Warmth and Brightness glowing atop our seven-foot tree! It has a beautiful double-sided filigree design which adds a touch of elegance and style; even on a taller tree. To make out its design, glitter is used on each side. To prevent it from shedding off this style, I used hairspray in the shower as to not spread anything around, and it holds the glitter in place before using. I am very happy that it is a plugin as I use many battery operated or solar lit decor outside, however, this does get expensive, and I go through even more batteries if not on a timer.Indoors, and strung with the lights on the tree, it works perfectly. It has a long lead cord with its male plugin, at about 28" it easily connects into the tree's lighting without a problem. Given that it is double-sided decorated, I am very impressed with how exquisite it looks while glowing warmly; spreading Comfort and Joy for Christmas for all who gaze upon it. This decorative tree topper truly is a lovely piece for your tree; equally perfect on a shorter or larger tree — it works amazingly. The star comes along with replacement bulbs (a must for me) and fuse. These are easily changed if necessary.If you do choose to seal on the glitter with hairspray, please allow it to dry completely before touching the star itself. Hold by the bottom attachment piece and spray in a sweeping motion. This little step works for glitter, artificial flowers, or anything that may shed. Use conservatively and it will do the trick. I use it in the shower as to not spread the hairspray all over my bathroom and then Stick to the floor!! A beautiful Christmas decoration and Highly Recommended.

My current tree topper is old...like 20+ years old. Over those years, it has become time-worn and shabby. In addition, it's a one-sided star so I always had to ensure the back side faced, well, the back. I've been looking for quite some time for a replacement. I've finally found the perfect one--and I can't wait to put it on my tree.First off, this is a 2-sided star which is perfect. I opted for the silver version since that would be a match not only to my other tree decorations but the metal work on my other furnishing. Secondly, it's a plug-in, NOT battery-dependent and that was a must.The enclosure is frosted plastic that looks like glass which helps to obscure the bulbs. The combination of these two features results in the light from the bulbs looking like tinier stars. This is a beautiful effect. This is accented by tastefully done scrollwork in silver glitter. The overall effect is quite lovely and a perfect upgrade to my tree. It comes with extra bulbs just in case. I didn't inspect to see just how to open the enclosure and hope that doesn't become necessary in the near future.

This tree topper has a lovely glow and design! For a mid to small Christmas tree it’s the perfect size. I love that the design is elegant instead of flashy and overdone. It comes with a good springlike holder to slip onto the top of the tree. It’s a great value and I’m pleased with this selection!

I ordered this star twice thinking they made a mistake. The star comes in a 9.5” box. The star measures 9.5” not 11”.

I like the look of this silver star when it’s lit up and I’m standing about 10 feet away, so I think we’ll give it a try this holiday season. It comes with some replacement bulbs which is a bonus, but it feels so lightweight and inexpensively made I’m afraid I’d break the star if I tried to use them. Up close it’s pretty cheap looking and the glitter sheds everywhere. Solidly ok but not exceptional..

Nice star. Lights are standard, incandescent bulbs: giving them a nice, soft glow. Includes 4 spare bulbs; 1 spare fuse. Be wary: loose glitter particles seem to get everywhere.
