Really Useful Box Plastic Storage (Bonus Pack of 3) 2 x 84 Litre + 1 x 64 Litre Clear

Dropped off by courier yesterday and all in perfect condition thankfully - I've only just read that returning these is not really an option due to the hassle and cost of doing so (Amazon won't pay the full amount for returns of this size, unsurprisingly). But I was surprised by the weight of the box the UPS guy handed me - this for the 2x84L + 1x64L box selection - so I weighted the contents. The 84L boxes weigh 3.38Kgs while the 64L comes in at 3Kgs even. For completeness, the cardboard box they come in weighed 1.9Kgs. I cite their weights 'cos I already have 6 others storage boxes bought from different manufacturers over the years, all close to 64L capacity, and all are considerably 'flimsier' - judging by their weight, or lack thereof! The one I weighed for comparison came in at just 2.1Kgs, so almost 1Kg lighter than the new 64L box of equal volume. Compared to the boxes I already had, these new ones seem very sturdy indeed. The vertical 'ribs' that surround their outsides, act as reinforcement, so it looks like many loaded boxes could be stacked on one another. Another thing I like about them is their 'squareness'. All of my other box-sides taper outward markedly from the base up, whereas these have sides that are close to 90 degrees to the horizontal base. This makes storing 'boxes within boxes' (items of regular box-like dimensions) a much neater affair. While the lids are not air-tight, the snap-closed handles should keep whatever is being stored, safe & dry for many years. I really cannot find anything to criticise here. A great buy, particularly since delivery was included in the price.

I never thought I would rave about plastic boxes! But these are IT! They are sturdy, stackable even if you have heavy stuff in the top one. The lids don’t break. And they are ... big! I bought the biggest set of 2x84L and 1x64L. Yes, they seem expensive but for the quality, they are not. I bought them after throwing my old chests of drawers while de cluttering my house. No moths, bugs or mice will get into them and my clothes are protected. I simply hide them behind the door as my family thinks I am weird because they are not as pretty as furniture but I will never have chest of drawers again. I bought storage plastic boxes before, cheaper and as promising, but they would not be as strong as these or lids would be Ill-fitted. I bought one set first to try and I found them so good, I bought another one. And I will buy another next month to store everything safely. I consider them an investment. And if I should move, everything will be already packed, in a way. Win, win! 10th April 2020 I am editing this review: since my original review, I bought another 3 sets. They all have been deliver fast and intact. They are a life saver. No more clutter in my house. I will always buy these from now on. Maybe not the 84 litre, they are huge. So convenient too. But I think the 64 ltr are more than enough for my needs. I have no hesitation in recommending these boxes.

These crates are brilliant. :ove being able to stack them 6-high and the stack stays together. They are just all round great to work with and a brilliant design. The ONLY issue is that I have ordered them online several times and sometimes they arrive smashed on at least one corner - including today. This has been an ongoing issue for years, judging by the comments, and nobody seems to have made any effort to fix it. There is ZERO protective padding inside the cardboard boxes (this is never a good idea) and no fragile stickers or anything. Why such a well designed product continues to be shipped in such an inadequate manner is completely astonishing. Even some corner protectors would probably do the job. I hope someone from the company sees this and applies the requisite pressure in the requisite direction. Sort it!!!

I purchased these just after Christmas for decoration storage. At the time of purchase, I got a great deal for the set of 3 (2x 84l & 1x64l) for £68.40. I have used this brand many times, and they are always my go to box when looking for new storage solutions. They have a very sturdy plastic construction, I love that they are clear in colour so that you can easily remember what's inside. They have lockable handle to secure the lid, but are not difficult to open and close. This was the 1st time I purchased the 84 litre and for the giant candy cane decorations it was perfect in size. The 84l & the 64l were the same size in length making them stackable, which is great for storing away. Definitely recommend this brand to everyone.

As with all really useful boxes, these are well made and sturdy. One (obvious) note with the larger boxes is they can get heavy to carry and manoevre, even with clothes in. Can't fault the product otherwise. However, the 3 pack (2*84, 1*64) is packaged in a thin cardboard box which comes undone at the bottom easily in transit. This allows the cardboard corner supports to "escape", and then the boxes get damaged in transit. We had 3 sets delivered, and 2 of them had issues with the outer packaging. One of the sets had broken corners and one handle missing, which given the durability of the product must have taken some doing! Amazon customer services excellent as ever in resolving this issue and providing a refund. We'll stick to the smaller boxes in future which have no issues with the packaging.

Amazing boxes. Have used this brand for years now from storing clothing, to beach gear, to Xmas decorations and more. We have used these for long term storage and never had any issues. They stack nicely on top of each other and the locking handles keep the lids secure. So far they have seen us through 5 house moves (2 across the sea) being packed, stacked, and thrown around almost daily. I have had from 3liter to 84litre sizes with most sizes in-between depending on needs. Wouldn’t bother with any other brand

Great selection of sizes, and for the most part they seem really sturdy. There is some flex in middle of the lid, on the giant 84L box, though. It's enough to make me uncomfortable with the idea of stacking anything on top of it. It seems like this one could have benefitted from having an extra supporting rib running across the middle of it, as I'm pretty sure this lid would give way if too much was piled up on the centre. I'll point out though, this isn't a problem if you're stacking more identical 84L boxes on top of each other, as they stack on the reinforced edges of the lids, and not the comparatively weaker centre part. In fact, if you ran a board across the edges and put your stuff on the boards, it would probably have no problems supporting a LOT of weight that way. So it may be possible to stack all sorts on top of it afterall. In any case, this is a standard box and not their ultra strong variety, so I'm just nit picking here really. Overall it's a great set, and a really helpful way to organise a lot of stuff into just a few tidy boxes.
