Review: Fun book for kids - This is a gift for one of our grand-kids. They love experimenting with things. I know they will love it. Review: Not so magical but still fun for kids - I bought this for an eight year old boy and he was really excited about it. He tried a few (worked on them with an adult so it was good bonding time) and seemed to enjoy himself well enough. It was particularly helpful because we had him reading the experiments out loud to work on his reading skills and he was interested enough in doing the experiments so he kept at it even when he didn't necessarily understand everything.

A great way to introduce your kids to the fun of science
The experiments in this book were very age-appropriate for my kids. Not only do they get the benefit of learning in a manner that is fun for them (ok, I am an overgrown geek kid-I loved them too), but we got to spend constructive time together that didn't involve our brains turning to mush in front of the idiot box. Supplies were easy to come by, and I hghly recommend this book to any parent.

Son likes it.
My son got this as a Christmas gift and was very excited about doing majic experiments. Of course I have to read it to him, (he's only 7 and just starting to read on his own), and he wants to do every experiment one right after the other. We have done a few but without great results. Overall, its a good book. There are puzzles and games inside and lots of interesting facts that he loves hearing all about. Good book to play with on a rainy day.

magical book
This book is just fantastic! Takes simple things you have at home and transforms them into something wonderful! Easy to read and follow instructions. Pages are loaded with information. Definitely going to order their other books in the future.

Good for upper elementary
This book is a go if your kids are old enough. Quite a few of the experiments would be less than appreciated by younger kids. As a lower elementary school teacher I bought this book to find great experiments to do the kids in my class. There are some fun ones, but most of them are a bit high for my kids.

highly recommend for rainy days
I home school my little ones (3 and 5), so always looking for new, fun things to do and this is wonderful. It explains what's happening, other things to try and examples in every day life. The information is simple enough for my 5 year old to understand and tasks easy enough for him to do himself, plus some puzzles and jokes.
