TELESIN 4-in-1 Floating Selfie Stick Tripod for Action Cameras

Compatable with DJI action 5 extends quite a lot and long enough for underwater. It floats well and is very visible with orange tip. The tripod at the base is really excellent very stable

This was bought to take my GoPro on holiday as I knew it would be involved in quite a bit of water-based filming. I added a waterproof cover and this stick as it floats and so I knew it wouldn't get lost. The good features: It floats It has a bright orange section on the base of each leg so it shows up easily It is fairly easy to set up, twist one way to lock and the other to unlock The base connects easily to my GoPro and I could also use it with a phone adapter It's lightweight but sturdy It has a carrying strap which can be easily tightened It can be extended, as a selfie stick or as a camera tripod It is very compact when folded up What would be nice: Some model tripods have a bluetooth remote built in that can be used to take photos, very useful but none of the floaties seem to have that feature Swimming is awkward with this in hand, I'm not sure what could help this but the kids were reluctant to use it again Despite it being a sturdy it's quite expensive for what it is, this will put people off buying it Overall it was a worthy purchase and I will use it again not just in the water

Insta 360x4 :The item i used it and dropped while in water and it did not float. The stick is really thin im sure if its suppose to be used for an insta 360 weight

Most of the one star reviews seem to be based on the Bluetooth pairing and I agree that the instructions provided with the product should be simpler and clearer. Quite simply, to pair the stick with the camera: 1- Turn the camera on. 2- Turn the selfie stick on by holding down its power button for two seconds. 3- on the selfie stick, hold both the shutter and QS buttons down together until a message pops up on the camera screen asking if you want to allow the connection. Accept the request on the camera screen and you’re good to go. Also, you only need to do this once unless you later choose to unpair the device. It’s basically the process listed on page 13 of the selfie stick instruction manual point number 7 to “clear the Bluetooth pairing”. This should have been better worded to include that is also the same process to connect to a new device. I haven’t tested it out in the ocean but it works perfectly on land and also submerged in water in my laundry tub. For me, it works fine with the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro camera both in and out of the Telesin brand waterproof case which I bought separately. The selfie stick feels comfortable, well made and of excellent quality. I am absolutely delighted with this product.
