Stopped Working
All of the sudden completely stopped working. I emailed sharper image, hopefully they respond. Will not charge, will not turn on. All online fix videos entail disassembly which I believe would void any warranties. So waiting to hear back before trying those.

Won’t recommend
Bought it January 10,2025 and Used it a handful of times and it worked great Monday not even 90 days later it won’t light up turn on or even charge However, my satisfaction was short-lived. Just after three months, the massager abruptly stopped working. What was initially a dependable source of relaxation turned into a source of frustration. I reached out to the vendor for support or a possible replacement, but my attempts to contact them went unanswered. This lack of customer service only added to my disappointment. Considering the price point of $100, I expected a product that would last significantly longer and come with reliable customer support. This experience left me feeling like I wasted my money on a product that didn't stand the test of time, and a company that doesn't value its customers. Overall, I can't recommend this product due to its poor longevity and the company's unresponsive customer service. It's a shame because it started off so well, but a product - no matter how good initially - is only as reliable as the support behind it.

Bad instructions. Strong vibes.
Terrible directions. The first wouldn’t start. This wouldn’t either until I held the button for ~15 seconds. Then it fully powered up and I could tap the power adjustments. Don’t be fooled that you can just tap the adjustments to start it.

Power and Precision: Sharper Image Powerboost Max Massage Gun Review
I absolutely love the Sharper Image Powerboost Max Massage Gun! It comes with multiple heads and offers a notably intense strength that feels more effective compared to other models. The moment you hold it, it feels like a high-quality product meant to last. It’s excellent for relieving muscle tension in the back and legs—while it's great when someone else does it, it's also easy to use on yourself. Charging is straightforward and quick. Overall, this massage gun delivers both power and convenience, making it a fantastic choice for anyone looking to ease muscle soreness and improve recovery. Highly recommended!

Very Poor Quality
We have recently purchased 2 of these, based on other peoples success. The first one had trouble starting. Within three days you would have to cycle through the settings 10 - 20 times to get it to start; it would just make a thud sound trying to start. The second one will not start, period; no thud, no nothing. Both were fully charged before using. Apparently they must not test their product before they ship.

Worked very well for less than a year. Then broke.
I don’t really recommend this massage gun. TL;DR: The massage gun worked very well for less than a year before becoming dangerous and loud. The massage gun worked very well for about 7-8 months. It really made my muscles feel relaxed and massaged. However, after that 8 month period it kinda broke. It was super loud, like a lawn mower. I couldn’t use it without feeling bad for everyone else in the room. Then it began to not start unless I moved the massage head forward and back manually to sort of ‘jump start’ it. The charging cord stopped fitting in the massage gun and then it just became dangerous. 1 year after I got it I left the massage gun charging overnight. When I picked it up in the morning it smelled like burnt plastic, that’s because the battery melted, and took a bit of the back with it as well. This massage gun broke from regular use. When it works, it really works. But when it doesn’t, it’s dangerous. I’ve since gotten a Bob and Brad massage gun (the X6) and it’s been pretty swell so far. I recommend Bob and Brad more.

Decent massager, but quality concerns after a month of use
As an athlete, I'm always looking for reliable recovery tools to keep my muscles in good shape between training sessions. I picked this up mainly for post-workout muscle recovery and general relaxation after long days, and for the first few weeks it genuinely delivered. The multiple speed settings gave me enough range to go from a gentle wind-down session to something more intense after leg day, and having 6 attachment heads means you can actually target different muscle groups effectively. The carrying case is a nice touch; it keeps everything organized and makes it easy to store. Here's where things went sideways. Around the one-month mark, the gun developed a noticeable clicking sound during use. Not a subtle tick but an audible, distracting click that wasn't there out of the box. Whether it's a loose internal component or something mechanical wearing down, I can't say, but it definitely shouldn't be happening on a relatively new device that's supposed to hold up to regular athletic use. What made it worse was trying to get help. Reaching Sharper Image's customer support was frustratingly difficult with slow responses and no easy path to resolution. For a product at this price point, that's a red flag. Bottom line: If you're looking for a budget-friendly massage gun and get a unit that holds up, you'll probably enjoy it. But as someone who relies on recovery tools consistently, the durability question mark and the lack of accessible support make it hard to recommend without hesitation. I'd suggest keeping your receipt and documenting any issues early.
