I bought pairs in both 15 lb and 20 lb for routine home strength training, and overall, they are exactly what I expected from standard rubber hex dumbbells. Straight out of the box, they had a mild petrochemical odor and a noticeable oily film common with new gym equipment. Instead of letting them sit around leaving grease marks on the floor or my hands, I wash them in warm water with a good squirt of degreasing dish soap. A quick sudsy scrub and a wipe-down to dry completely cut through the factory oil in a few minutes, leaving no greasy residue or smell behind. Once cleaned up, they perform exactly as they should: **Weight Accuracy: Both pairs weighed true to spec (within 1.3% - 15.2lbs and 19.9lbs respectively) on my digital scale (photos attached), which isn’t always guaranteed with cast/rubber weights at this price point. **Anti-Roll: The hex heads sit flat and stay put between sets, which is essential if you're setting them down on hard floors or switching weights quickly. **Grip & Knurling: The textured handles give a very secure, non-slip grip, even when your hands get sweaty. That said, the knurling is pronounced enough that it might wear down bare palms during longer or heavier sets—I’ve decided to use weight grips with these. **Rubber Coating: The rubber is solid, doesn't scuff the floor, and dulls the clatter when you put them down. They’re well-balanced, sturdy workhorses at a reasonable price. Give them a quick wash with dish soap before your first workout, and you're good to go.

I bought these dumbbells for my son to use during his recovery after pitching, and they’ve been perfect. The rubber coating provides a comfortable grip and helps protect the floor, and the weights feel well made and durable. They’ve been a great addition to his rehab and strength training routine. Love these dumbbells for at home! They arrived early and as others had stated in their reviews, they did smell and were dirty and greasy. Nonetheless, I just washed them with a little dish soap and they are just fine. The grip is comfortable, weight is right on, and material seems high quality. They are easy to store on the small rack at home and don’t take up much room. Overall loving these dumbbells!

Nice product, as described. The best part is the grip. It is very comfortable in the hand. It has a slight curve to it and fits very well in the hand; holding it is very comfortable. I bought a pair of these. The rubber coating is rather smelly! A few months back I bought another pair and the smell went away after some time. Great overall product.

I purchased the 10 pounders. They feel great, nice grip, love the size, and they were priced just right. One complaint however - the rubber coating has a pretty potent chemical smell that won't seem to disappear.

They are great! Started my home gym during covid in 2021 and they still look light new. Great quality, great grib on them. Like most of the rubber dumbbells, they will leave marks if you rub them on the wall or floor, but that's very common.

The alloy steel handle has a more compact diameter, which makes a noticeable difference for smaller hands. Both my boyfriend and I find them easier and more comfortable to grip during exercises. The medium-depth knurling adds extra grip and helps keep the weights secure in hand. With a combination of alloy steel and durable rubber coating, these feel very sturdy and well-built, giving more confidence during heavier lifts. They’re also slightly more compact than neoprene dumbbells of similar weight, which makes them easier to control. The hex shape prevents rolling, and unlike some other dumbbells, these have flat ends that allow them to be placed upright, which is useful for certain exercises and adds versatility. They’re also easy to store alongside other weights without shifting around. There is a slight smell, but it’s not overpowering and hasn’t been an issue for us. All things considered, these feel like a step up in quality and have become our preferred option for strength training. Highly recommend!
