This a great little tool. I have a hottub and the test strips kept going bad due to the moisture in the air. This is the perfect tester for testing pH in the hot tub and will not go bad.

I think this item would have worked great I just didn't understand how to use it, nor did I have the patience. I think it would have been accurate and worth the money. The design was great, and it seems easy to use I was just looking more for the paper strips at the time. It also seemed pretty durable and was made to be accurate.

I use this to test the salinity and pH throughout the week on my saltwater pool. For the most part the numbers are very close to what the machine at my professional pool company gives me readouts for on a weekly basis. I like to keep tabs on it multiple times a week but don't have the time to run to the store that often. It's accurate enough to keep the pool stabilized enough to not have any concerns about being out of balance at the end of the week or at times when we may not be able to get over there every week for a professional reading.

This water tester takes the guess work out of measuring ph for my spa. No more comparing colors on a strip to a chart. Comes with spare batteries as well. I recommend this water tester

Mine may have been a return that someone else played with first. I messed around with this for like 30 min. The salinity on it was reading 5800 ppm? The wall unit showed 4200. I knew my pool salt was high but not 5800. Went to the pool store and they said the sample was 4000 ppm. So the wall unit was close but not the 5800 reading. I added water to the pool. Played around with the buttons untilI finally got what looked like a reset. See pH reset line on instructions....I thought it would work for salt too and it did. Now, this meter reads 3600. I'll only use this for salinity checks when not running up to the store. No way I want to get into pH with this.UPDATE - I went to the extra expense of buying all 3 types of salinity testing conductivity solutions to calibrate this meter. 1413, 111.3 and 12.88. IT SIMPLY WILL NOT CALIBRATE. None of the numbers would match any of the 3 solutions. It's at least 200 ppm or more off. I have not even tried pH if salinity will not work. I'm not mixing powders if these store purchased conductivity samples will not work.

Great product! Like how it comes with all you need to calibrate the PH probe (also has extra calibration powders). Accuracy is spot on when compared to my test strips!
