Food Dehydrator Select Series for Jerky, Fruit, Vegetables, Herbs, Pet Treats with Adjustable Temperature Control, 8-Tray

I have only written a handful of reviews in my lifetime. But I am so happy and I impressed by this stainless steel Excalibur food dehydrator that I need to stop and write one! I have used other dehydrators, but none have worked this well. You do not need to turn/ shuffle trays half way through, it runs quietly, easy to set temperature and heat, and the outside remains cool to the touch!! The vegetables I have dried in it retain their color and flavor, and dry evenly. What more could you ask? Try it, you will love it!

Very nice system. We have been using non stop for 4 days. It is very convienent, 8 trays take approximately 16 tomatoes. 16 lbs raw tomatoes net 16 oz of dehydrated tomatoes. They are very flavorful. Today I am doing mixed fruits. I have been very satisfied. Recommend getting the silicon mats, easy clean up.

This was a replacement for an older Excalibur that we had had for about 25 years. The bottom was made of plastic and finally cracked due to age. This new one is great. I kind of miss the old dial controls, actually not really. The racks are stainless i think and I go ahead and clean them in the dishwasher against some instructions. I do like the light that makes it easy to check on the drying without opening the door and letting things cool down. The French doors are a very nice addition. And the base is now all metal so this should last even longer than the previous one.

This is amazing! I’ve gotten into gardening and this year luckily success has me looking for ways to preserve that harvest. This is an amazing option to add to your arsenal - namely I’m amazed at how little space dehydrated veggies take up! Note: I noticed many reviews questioning this product because of the fan sounding like it’s not consistent and this is specifically mentioned in the user manual as an intentional design feature intended to avoid case hardening. 🤓

Update: Excalibur finally responded and said the light bulb wasn't under warranty (which I expected, even though it lasted for only a few seconds). What I wanted to know was how to access the light bulb to change it out. They said I would have to disassemble the dehydrator to access it and by doing that I would void the warranty. What in the world???!!! Overall I like the dehydrator. However, after the 2nd use, the light bulb either burner but or the switch doesn't work. I had only turned it on to inspect the produce, then right back off. I reached out to Excalibur and they needed a list of items from me - just short of my first born child. A 10 second minimum video has to be included. I provided all this information. Wanted to know what bulb and how to access it. SILENCE!!! Now I know this is a small thing, but this is a clear indication of what would happen if the problem were larger and it made my dehydrator useless. Perhaps I will get a Corsi if this one dies. Let me add, that the first one I ordered arrived with the glass falling out of the doors. I returned it to Amazon for a replacement. I know ow someone above in the comments said the racks were plastic. They are NOT plastic, they are metal.

I was so excited to get this dehydrator. It came I plugged it in. Nothing. It would not come on. Sent it back. Received the 2nd one. It worked! But the door glass was loose and you had to wiggle it to close the door. I sent it back. Received the 3rd one. It was perfect. Despite the difficultly and disappointment I am really happy with this dehydrator. It is so roomy and I really see the difference in how it leaves the food

Vraiment contente de mon achat. Trop hot pour déshydrater mes champignons. 2 x plus vite qu’un avec le fan par en dessous. Silencieux et très facile d’utilisation. Je la recommande fortement. Avoir su j’aurais pris celui à 10 tablettes au lieu de 8. Mais bon .

chegou dentro do prazo previsto. *as portas de abertura, não têm uma boa fixação, uma delas saiu na mão ao abrir. vai ser necessário colar. fora esse detalhe, funciona perfeitamente e o equipamento é muito bonito.

This unit hasn’t stopped since it arrived. Does a great job drying all sorts of veg’s. Small cubes take time but uniform drying is the bonus with this dehydrator
