No more scooping poop!
We're two months in and this litter box has been a game changer. We are first time cat owners and cleaning a litter box daily was getting really old. I was initially hesitant to purchase this, mostly because of the price and wondering if it would really work but I can honestly says it's the best $200 I ever spent. The setup was super easy and our cat couldn't wait to climb in and use it. It's very quiet and I find the app to be convenient and east to use. The one possible downside is its size. It was a bit larger than we expected and we do not have a ton of square feet so we had to get creative, but luckily, we found a great spot next to the couch, out of the way. I can also say that taking it apart after about a month's use and cleaning the components was very easy. Overall, we love it, and our cat loves it, and we recommend it it highly!

I love this thing.
I’m extremely happy with this litter box especially at the price. It took a little while for my cat to begin using it. I put the other litter box right next to it and delayed and cleaning it a little bit whereas the automatic litter box was always pristine. I sent it to manual clean rather than automatic cleaning just to be sure she wasn’t surprised by it now she has no trouble with the automatic clean and my delay is set to about 10 minutes so it never goes when she’s in the vicinity. The collection basket is clean and big enough so that it doesn’t need to be cleaned frequently but there’s no smell at all coming from it and I have a very sensitive nose. It’s very easy to replace the litter and the plastic collection bag. Everything stays nice and clean. I don’t have any leaking or escape of waste and my cat has plenty of room. I still have the alternate litter box, but she is using this one more and more frequently and I think it’s quickly becoming the preferred one. I would absolutely purchase this again if I had to make the same choice.

Best auto litter box I could ask for (without having to spend litter robot money)
Can’t recommend enough! We got two kittens back in February and I researched high and low for the best automatic litter box as I was hesitant after hearing of other brands horror stories but also didn’t want to spend $800 on litter robots. This cumeridge auto litter box has exceeded my expectations! Very cost effective and SAFE! Our cats love it - have no issues with it - and when I brought them home from the shelter I had this and a standard tray for them so they could gradually get used to the automatic one and it suprisingly took them about 2 days to get more curious about the cumridge and used it daily ever since. There have never been any issues with it - cats love using it, and the app is super helpful with tracking kitties weight, entry times, and customizing litter box settings like clean time intervals, brightness, or emptying litter tray, or setting from auto to manual mode - and overall such a huge help without having to manually scoop at all. Just simply empty the drawer every now and then. Theres also a great YouTube review on it if you wanted to see it for yourself before buying that helped me make the decision. Also per the previously mentioned horror stories comment - this has front entry and never fully closes like the ones I heard stories about. And it has super super sensitive sensors that stop whenever they are triggered. If you are at all hesitant about this - don’t be. It’s definitely worth the buy - I was nervous at first too but so glad I found this. If I ever needed to would definitely purchase again.

This Self Cleaning Litter-box is great - BUT What i wish i’d known from day one….
PLEASE READ - ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE HAVING “ISSUES” WITH THIS LITTER BOX ! I bought this litter box with high hopes right after the first of the year - so i’ve worked with it now for almost 4 months. I LOVE IT - and so does my Cat - but its been a work in process. Here’s what i’ve learned. 1) the description says any clumping cat litter works and it lists several including my long time favorite, “world’s best”. Nevertheless, from the start - i had problems. Every possible trigger would cause a shutdown - every possible error message. ALL Of them. Almost randomly. And whenever i removed the drum, i sometimes found some damp used litter and significant amounts of condensation between the drum and casing. That couldn’t be right. I would completely dismantle and thoroughly clean and dry the entire assembly - and it would eventually start to work again - only to fail again a few days later. In the end - i found that the only ‘real’ malfunction happened when i replaced a bag in the disposal tray and accidentally covered the 3 magnets on the end closest to me (the front). You’ll see, its tricky to put the bag in correctly - i wish there was a better ‘catch’ for the bag - but fact is, if the plastic covers those magnets - you’ll have a problem. As for all the other error messages - read on. I was not happy with customer service. I suspect i was talking with a bot much of the time as responses seemed to pick up on random words and not the actual issue i was describing. And they would loop - in terms of the responses. They’d ask for more info or pictures or videos and i’d reply as requested only to get a response addressing something non related. Not ever helpful. I considered giving up several times - but i was also deep into the process of helping our cat adjust (more on that later) - so i was determined not to give up….but it was truly painful….. Then i noticed that the cloth removable ‘envelope’ tray in the bottom of the drum was suffering damage that looked like it was being chemically damaged - ‘melting’ a bit - the only possible explanation was ammonia from urine. I finally wondered if it could be the litter, although i knew i was using one named in the product description as approved. Finally - i asked ‘rufus’ - “what is the best litter for this litterbox” - Rufus answered that based on the product description and my shopping history -it recommended World’s Best… so i asked again, “other than World’s Best, what litter is best for this litter box” - Rufus recommended 3 as ‘most popular’ and from those i chose Dr. Elsey’s Precious Cat Ultra. Boom - no more issues at all. Period. I’ve had a full month of perfection. Not one glitch. Its night and day. So i recommend you either start with Dr Elsey’s - OR, if you are having trouble with this self cleaning litter box, TRY switching … 2) because the waste container sits below the drum - the entrance is a hole positioned well above the head of most cats. Especially For an older cat, set in their way - its asking alot to expect them to jump up and into a dark hole on a new machine to do their business. (i know, cats love to explore - but trust me….for 3 days our cat (apparently) kept her paws crossed…. SO - First i added a step recommended along with the litterbox. It worked great to catch litter on paws, but it was only about 4 inches high - far too low to reassure our cat. So i added a step stool to see if that helped - indeed it did! But the steps were too narrow for her to casually step in, groom the litter pre and post visit or groom herself. She tended to leap in and leap out. Her stays were very brief and limited to maybe once a day for weeks. I talked with the vet - she urged patience. She warned some cats -especially those over 7yrs - never do adjust. She cautioned me to keep the old box for up to 6 months. I left treats on the steps and inside on top of clean litter. It helped but it was clear visits to the litterbox were not comfortable and relaxed. Then I found a neat 2 step pet stepstool. It was actually made of heavy cardboard and covered with fabric and the steps were padded and hid storage space. The two steps zip together. They were great - and roomy for the cat - and i could use the step to sit on as i changed the litter bags or dealt with malfunction issues - but the top step was too high - now our cat had to step downward into the litterbox making it harder for her to rake the litter… and again leaving her ‘leaping’ up and out of the litterbox. BUT thanks to being heavy cardboard construction - i found i could with a boxcutter - cut down the top step to the exact height needed, bind with duct tape, and cover the re-worked top edge with the lid. Perfection. Our cat wanders up, sits on her top step, walks in, takes her time in the box - steps out and grooms, returns several times a day - she is clearly fully adjusted. So - my advice is to make sure you’re using a litter that the MACHINE likes, and add steps of the correct height that give your cat plenty of space to maneuver, help them adjust if needed, and be patient. Its truly worth the effort. This self cleaning box is a fantastic improvement - and so much easier for me to maintain - not to mention almost no smell ever. I love it.

Highly Recommend This Self-Cleaning Litter Box
I've been very happy with this self-cleaning litter box. It has eliminated the need to scoop litter every day, making cat care much easier and far less time-consuming. It's low maintenance and does a great job controlling odors. One tip that has worked well for me is to keep the litter level close to the maximum fill line. This helps prevent waste from sticking to the cleaning mechanism and keeps it operating smoothly. I also empty the waste drawer about twice a week, which has been more than enough. I know some people are concerned that their cat might be afraid of an automatic litter box or question its safety, but my experience has been very positive. My cat adapted to it quickly and actually seems to like using it. The cleaning cycle has never activated while my cat was inside, and I've never had any safety issues. Overall, this litter box has made caring for my cat much more convenient. If you're considering a self-cleaning litter box, I would definitely recommend this one.

Game Changer for Multi-Cat Households!
I've been using the Self-Cleaning Litter Box for several weeks now, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. Setup was quick and straightforward, and the app connected easily, allowing me to monitor usage and control cleaning cycles from my phone. The automatic cleaning works exactly as advertised. It keeps the litter box consistently clean, which my cats seem to appreciate, and it has dramatically reduced odors in the house. The large capacity is perfect because I don't have to empty the waste bin every day, making maintenance much easier. One feature I really appreciate is the built-in safety protection. It pauses automatically if one of my cats approaches during a cleaning cycle, giving me peace of mind. It's also surprisingly quiet, so it doesn't startle the cats or disturb anyone in the house. The included garbage bags are a nice bonus, and replacing the waste bag takes only a minute or two. Overall, this litter box has saved me time, reduced mess, and made daily cat care much more convenient. If you're tired of scooping litter every day, I highly recommend this Self-Cleaning Litter Box. It's been worth every penny.

Great investment!
Best investment for my cats. I have 3 cats used to have 3 litter boxes that never seemed like enough nor did my kids want to help clean. We’ve had litter box since February and have been able eliminate all the other litter boxes. It’s easier to clean as well. We just change the bag a couple times a week. It’s cut down on the cat litter smell and we’ve saved a ton of money on cat litter since it doesn’t take as much and immediately dumps the clumps. Overall we love it. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that every once in while it won’t automatically dump the litter and I have to do it manually and then reset it in the app.

Time save? No. Time deferrer.
Short version: This was my first (and likely my last) drum based 'self cleaning litter box'; may be my last attempt at any 'self-cleaning' box unless I see a radical concept change. The concept here is similar to the linear ones -- run a comb through the litter; anything that passes through the comb may stay in the box, anything that does not goes into a waste bin. This particular one has some points in its favour, but failed in the end to impress me, or even live up to my (diminished because of other self-cleaning litter boxes I have tried) expectations. 1) This is not a time saver. It is a time deferral tool. 2) This was an expensive device to last only about 14 months before it failed. 3) I have not, in the time I have had any 'self-cleaning' litter box, found any litter that works for such use. 4) Sometimes smaller turds would get stuck in the holding space behind the comb. 5) There are no gaskets or flaps or other things that keep the smell in the collection bin. Long version: I purchased this model because, unlike so many others, the drum was big enough for a adult cat to use. The others look to me like they are kitten-sized. Consider how sensitive cats' noses are, and then think about this: would you (assuming you are adult-sized) want to use a 5 foot high (children-sized) porta-potty where you had to scrunch yourself up to fit, or a 7+ foot high (adult-sized) porta-potty, where you could at least stand up inside it before and after you did your business? Overall, the build seemed pretty solid. The legs are questionable, but the rest of the unit fit together reasonably well, and I didn't see major misalignments between the parts; the seams were consistent. Other than the legs falling off if you picked it up even a little bit (and the legs not being at least a little adjustable), it seemed good. 1) I have never really saved time with 'self-cleaning' litter boxes; this is a fine example of that. I have two large litter boxes (this thing can stand in either one with a little to the sides and several inches front and back to spare. I spend about 5 minutes per day sifting through these, and about 15 minutes each per month emptying the litter, washing and drying the boxes, and putting in new litter. That works out to about 2340 minutes -- (((5 * 6) + 15) * 52) minutes -- per year per box. This 'self-cleaning' litter box, like so many others, requires a lot more maintenance but on a different schedule. Each day, the drawer must be emptied and the litter pan (mesh-looking thing) scraped (unless you like ammonia and poop smells), and more litter added since the capacity is so small that a day's use depletes it noticeably (about 3 minutes). Every week it needs all the litter purged (it has a button for this, and the litter pan should be removed and cleaned and treated if you see any mold on it, then the drum and comb cleaned (cloth dampened with warm soapy water), dry the drum and comb and litter pan, reinstall the litter pan, and then add fresh litter (about 30 minutes). Every fourth week, instead of the usual weekly work, take the drum out completely, remove the litter pan, wash and dry the drum thoroughly, clean the litter pan, treat for mold if needed, and dry it, then put it back into the drum. Reinstall the drum to the unit. If you use a garden hose and sprayer or something of that level, probably about 30 minutes for this, but you'll have to let it dry in warm dry sunlight with good draining for it to get properly dry. I normally just dismantled the drum, washed and dried the parts, treated the litter pan for mold when I saw some, and put it all back together. This took me over an hour each time. For me this works out to between 2496 ((((((3 * 6) + 30) * 3) + ((3 * 6) + 30)) * 13) and more than 2886 ((((((3 * 6) + 30) * 3) + ((3 * 6) + 60)) * 13) minutes per year. It saves time most days, but the additional maintenance each week more than consumes the amount of time saved every other day. Hard to blame this on this manufacturer; something along this pattern applies to every 'self-cleaning' litter box I have tried so far. Enough that I really question the point of these things... 2) I got about 14 months of use before walking it on it for the weekly ritual and noticing that in addition to the usual ammonia and poop smell, there was a burning smell. The drum was inverted (so the disposal drawer fully open to the room) and the unit appeared wedged. Thankfully I saw nothing externally burned, but the motor that drives the drum has not moved since, despite my efforts -- power cycling it, trying to reset it otherwise, trying to force a cleaning or purge cycle. 3) One of the big reasons I have never really been enthusiastic about these 'self-cleaning' litter boxes is because no litter I have tried in them really works well. No litter I have tried ever clumps firmly enough in time for the cleaning cycle (the clumps frequently, but not always, fall apart, and at least bits either get stuck to or behind the comb). In the linear 'self-cleaning' boxes, you could trigger a cycle and clean up a little behind the comb as it moved through the litter, but in the drum model, the partial clumps tend to get stuck in that holding space behind the comb, emitting that smell that combines urine and ammonia, and somehow still attracts mold, until you somehow get them out (thence the every-four-weeks full drum washing). Granted, I prefer a natural bio-degradable / compostable / flushable cat litter. I even tried a few 'fast and hard' clumping varieties that only performed marginally better, but I avoided those with chemicals that I would prefer to avoid feeding to my cats (they do clean themselves after walking on it), so maybe I missed one because of this? 4) With fine combs I usually saw on linear boxes, I seldom saw turds get stuck like broken up clumps, though they also tended to toss a bunch of additional litter that probably was not part of clumps. However, with the really coarse combs most drum units (including this one) tend to have, small turds probably get caught in the holding space -- like they did on this one. I even tried coarse litter on this one but still got what I guess were partial clumps sticking to the comb or trapped behind it. 5) There is a roughly finger-thickness gap between the collection bin opening and the drum, and between the drum and the outer case. Basically, the collection bin is NOT isolated from the room. This is why the collection bin needs to be emptied at least daily.
