🎉 Elevate Your Artistry with Every Spray!
The Iwata-Medea Com-Art Color Kit, Kit B Opaque Secondary, features a unique hydro-carbon base binder that allows for seamless mixing of transparent and opaque colors. This non-toxic, ready-to-use paint is specially formulated for airbrush applications, ensuring superior atomization and instant drying. With its heavy pigmentation and lightfast properties, this kit is perfect for artists looking to achieve precise color separations on paper and plastic surfaces.

Fine paints; consider your application closely
These paints work perfectly in the airbrush without requiring any further dilution. They clean easily with water, and if you run water through the airbrush after use, your airbrush will remain in as-new condition. They're non-toxic so use by kids learning to use an airbrush works well with these. The colors are bright and generally upbeat. The opacity is only fair, so for instance, if I use this paint on wood, the grain will show through. (That, of course, may be your intent, but if you want enamel-like coverage, you won't get it here). I wasn't able to tell much difference between the transparent colors which are for sale here and the opaque colors available in other Iwata-Medea sets. Let's say you spray both paints on a newspaper; you'll still easily be able to read the articles despite the paint in either the opaque or transparent varieties. The bottom line is that the paint works nicely, but consider your application first. The paint works well if you're making a mural on white or beige paper or canvas. It also sprays well on any bare wood surface. It doesn't adhere well with either metal or plastic so a base coat would be necessary for both surfaces. I tried metal (zinc) as well as plastic (styrene) and agree with Iwata-Medea that this paint isn't recommended for either surface. The paints have a nice two part top that allows either quick pouring or drip-wise addition to an airbrush paint-well. The tops close firmly and are easy to reopen. The paint itself dries quickly (almost instantly on wood). Kit B provides some variations of the paint in Kit A but will likely not be a required addition.

However, if the metal or plastic has a base coat of enamel first, the Iwata-Medea paints perform very well. Spraying the opaque black, for instance, over a dark blue enamel, worked out perfectly with no show-through of the blue. The paints have a nice two part top that allows either quick pouring or drip-wise addition to an airbrush paint-well. The tops close firmly and are easy to reopen.

Paints are good with PHOTOS
This set starts at around $25, so beware. This kit comes with the 10 Transparent Paints, and a how to page, on how to paint a red head kid "Steve Driscoll". The howto is 3/5, it doesnt give specifics but is a broad how to, so it leaves questions about how to use the odd colors Kelly Green, Violet.I painted each color on a paper with PHOTO, and each color is different, but the the shade additive is basically a tone lighter Violet.I also did a side by side of this set next to other transparent Comart Paints.Note that you might also want to get other brown shades of Tr. Ochre, and Tr. Sienna Brown.

Excellent paint!
I don't know how I went so long without these! I've been model kit building and airbrushing for many years and have always mixed my own paint. I decided to give these a try after reading some product reviews. I can honestly say I will never mix paint for my airbrush again! I use these straight out of the bottle and mix them directly in the airbrush cup If I need to tweak a color. I've shot these through my Iwata and Badger Sotar with NO problems and NO thinning. If you're on the fence about these, hop off and buy them. You'll spend less time fusing with paint and more time enjoying painting! Dries fast and clean up is fairly easy. Will stain your fingers.

Great product
Used product for various art projects. Like the consistency of them and the fact that they go through the air-brush very easily.

... thinking I was going to get a paint kit like the title illustrates and photo plus the information
Was thinking I was going to get a paint kit like the title illustrates and photo plus the information, only to receive ONE Iwata paint colour. Photo Gray. Which I don't even think is in the actual kit..
