Has anyone used this in shallow water (e.g. a river) and was it any good at identifying fish (small and large) amd weeds?

I sure have, and can confirm the it's not the best fish finder on the market as it usually shows alot fake readings that fish is around the area where in fact theres absolutely nothing... and in regards to your question no it doesnt show weeds but however the pro version does and is I'm fact alot more accurate in readings, I geuss you really do get what you pay for.
