Don’t let FedEx deliver the system
I bought two of these last year and they worked just fine. But this time the supplier used FedEx for delivery. It showed up with multiple shipping damage on the outdoor unit due to mishandling by FedEx. The company sent a replacement unit but it also had shipping damage. The second one was less damaged so I installed it. It worked fine for a while but now its failed. I got no help from Daikin since I installed it myself. All the other Daikin units were shipped by truck freight and they are doing great. Daikin makes a good product but if you buy from Amazon make sure the supplier DOES’T use FedEx. This is not something that one delivery driver can handle without a lift gate and pallet jack system. I finally had to spend a lot of time and money to take the first damaged unit back to FedEx for returning to the shipper. What should have been a simple process turned into a two month problem and now I’ll have to replace the whole system. FedEx was told by the shipper to come pickup the damaged unit but the never came.
