Exceeds expectations
Exceeds all expectations Title: Exceeds all expectations Description: From a layman’s viewpoint: A quality product that is simple to set up and deploy. The wi-fi reliable and fast, removing the need for less reliable wi-fi extenders and powerline adaptors. Older and slower legacy devices are supported. This mesh system seems expensive at first sight but wish I had taken this or similar soution much earlier.

Difficult setup, but solid router
I had difficulty setting up, so much so I initially sent it back before stumbling on the solution weeks later. If you are in the UK and still have a VDSL modem (I am on EE broadband) - the app might not let you sign in with your PPPoE details. I got an unknown error over and over - with no way to bypass. It turned out you can start the setup process on the local router website (it’s in the instructions) - for some reason it works there! Once up and running it’s been flawless for over two weeks. All the expected wifi 7 benefits, solid stability etc. The towers are quite tall but in white are fairly subtle. Its always tricky to pick the right number of nodes too - I came from Linksys Velop, and these Netgear ones have much better range - but its still down to your clients, so err on more if unsure. 5 stars apart from setup and size.

Wi-fi heaven.
Effective and easy to setup. Expensive but, so far reliable and a powerful tool to extend so-do reach within the home. On-line apps tool a nice touch.

Difficult setup and expensive
I’m happy with the router overall. The Wi-Fi is very fast and devices connect quickly to the 5GHz and 6GHz networks. The coverage is also good and works well throughout my home. I like that there are lots of settings to choose from, including the new Wi-Fi 7 features. However I have had a few connection drops and the setup was a little difficult. The router works well but I think it is quite expensive for what it offers. Overall it has good speed and coverage but the reliability and price could be better.

Do not buy if wanting access points only.
This is potentially a very good product until you decide to make it an “access point”. Once you make that change, the app stops working and all “help” goes out the window. The entire system is designed around being a "router". If you try and add this to be a simple "access point" then forget any help and access/setup via the app. If I connect to the wi-fi via any of the “satellites” then the app can’t talk to the “router”. It’s just not designed to be used that way. I personally have also experienced disconnects on my iPhone, despite having full bar Wi-Fi. It would suddenly drop to 5G and then 15 seconds later just reconnect. For those of you in U.K. who want to add them as “access points” I suggest you look elsewhere. If you want to replace your ISP router, then this mat be the perfect Wi-fi but I can't comment. However, if you're planning on changing these to "Access Point Mode", I personally would suggest an alternative, especially as these are very much dependent on the app to set up which simply does not work correctly when they are used as an access point.

Simple Setup & Great Features
Maybe because I am a returning user, I found the installation process to be very straightforward and simple. The performance and new WiFi 7 features are absolutely fantastic. It has upgraded my home network completely.

It is expensive for an unstable connection
The mesh system is ok but unlike its predecessor, it isnt as stable on wifi. Even though there are 3 units dotted around our 3 storey house, we still get either dropped connections or slow speeds in certain areas - not something you would expect for something of this calibre. Otherwise, the app and user interface is good and friendly to use. The units are stylish and blends in well with our house. All in all though, the cost vs reliability just isnt there for us. So not something we would look to keep.

Both expensive and not very good.
## Edit I am now far less happy, after months of problems. I'm getting random wifi disconnections. The router is crashing every few days requiring a reboot. It's a known problem (just have a google) and there've been no fixes. Anecdotally advice seems to be to disable everything and roll back to an earlier firmware. Frankly I bought these expensive lumps of plastic as I didn't want to have to think about them and I'd had no problems with previous system. Something has gone very wrong in Netgear, and they don't seem to be in any rush to fix it. ## I bought this to replace an old Orbi system (RBR50) which had finally failed - and whilst I'm broadly I'm happy with the upgrade, I have some thoughts.. Setup via the app (android) was a bit buggy with timeouts and errors. Worked in the end, but don't bother. UI virtually identical to my old system - good in that I quite liked it, but didn't spot anything exciting, aside from an ability to download and install firmware updates automatically. Not the snappiest interface, but has all the features you'd want. Performance and stability so far have been excellent - this is the important thing, and I can't fault it. Only has 2 ethernet jacks on the satellites - which feels like limitation only added to add a differentiator from the more expensive systems. Had to buy a little switch (cheap ugreen one is great) Attached devices feature in the UI just seems broken - I've got devices missing, despite the router having just assigned an address via DHCP. Means you can't always choose devices from dropdowns in config, but I didn't give anything I couldn't work around by typing in the IP. Most worryingly, this seems to have been a problem for ages, which Netgear haven't fixed.. I'm not getting warm feelings.. Netgear Armor is a really annoying service that comes with a 30 day trial. Causes the router to try to brute-force login to attached devices - which caused my Synology to block it. It then objected to open ports on the Synology and blocked them, despite me having entered the port forwarding into the router. Most annoyingly, there's no way to turn this off within the router UI, it's buried in the settings menu of the stupid app. I think my signing up for the accursed app triggered this in the first place - again, don't bother with it. Overall I'm pretty happy. Hardware seems good, but software experience feels a bit messy
