GoPro Hero - Compact Waterproof Action Camera with 4K Ultra HD Video, 12MP Photo, Touch Screen

I really love this new smaller edition of the GoPro cameras! First off, the camera feels very well made and doesn't feel cheap. It has a little weight to it for it's size, but is still very easy to hold and mount as needed. I was actually very surprised by the overall size of this camera. It definitely looks bigger in photos. This camera comes with a few accessories which are all GoPro branded and feel strong and sturdy. There is no case included with this camera, which isn't a deal breaker by any means, but something to keep it protected when not in use would have been nice. The camera itself is very easy to use and operate. The built in, bright touch screen really helps with this and is also very responsive and fairly easy to see in direct sunlight. You can also use the app to change settings as needed, too (there aren't many). The app itself is well designed and also easy to navigate. There are 3 modes to this camera. That's it. Because of this, it's great for beginners or for someone who needs quick, easy to use 4K without having to adjust settings, etc. before shooting. The 4K/30 FPS video quality is excellent and honestly, the best I have seen on an action camera at this price point, so far. While filming in 4K/30 the camera does get a little warm, but it hasn't shut itself off yet, at least for me. The quality of the images is excellent and very clear and crisp. Even low light images aren't terrible on this camera. Don't get me wrong, it's not anything like the day time images, however, for an action camera, it's really not awful. The built in microphones record good audio for an action camera and is extremely usable for most projects. The electronic image stabilization is excellent and in my opinion, is better then some gimbals. Keep in mind, there is no built in stabilization within the camera. It gets applied when viewed and exported from the app. So each video will need to be "processed" before exporting. To my surprise, this doesn't take long and it works really well. It's just another step before the video can used for whatever you might be working on. The battery life on this is pretty good and it really depends on your settings that will determine how long it will last. Filming in the highest setting (4K/30), the more battery this is going to use. They include the newer enduro battery inside which works better in extreme temperatures and provides more shooting time. The battery is built in and cannot be swapped for another battery. It will need to be charged through the camera itself. It doesn't take too long to charge and can be charged with a power bank while on the go. It can also be used while charging which helps. All things considered, I really like this camera and it is priced quite well for the overall quality it provides. It's one of those cameras you can just grab and go with. It's quick and super simple to get high quality 4K video in a pretty lightweight and very small package.

Bought for my husband for Xmas 25. This product was such a disappointment. The worst GoPro product, we were loyal GP users until now. This product has the worst and shortest battery life. Buttons do not work. My husband has to beat this camera on the floor to make it come on. Plugging in won't make it power on. It does not connect to the GP app. DO NOT BUY, find a different product. Worst money I have ever wasted.

This thing in immaculate... well worth the price I paid for it!! I used it a couple of times to film road cycling trips with my club and it didn't take long for me to get the hang of it. Everyone loves the final edits that the AI in the app generated for me... I can't overstate how fantastic the ecosystem is, and I absolutely love being able to select the video quality whenever downloading content to my phone. The camera size is perfect, and the single touchscreen is awesome. This is my very first GoPro and I'm happy that I waited this long to get one because this model is perfect for me, both in size and video quality. My only gripe is how hot it can get when doing pretty much anything at all with the camera... but that hasn't been a real bother. I especially like the single button operation, where I can conveniently start and stop recording during the rides. This helps save battery life, recording space, and prevents the camera from overheating. So, when the camera isn't recording, it goes into power save mode... but I can quickly start recording just by pressing that single button.

I used the Gopro Hero for about 6 month and then the screen went black and the camera was unusable. I contacted support and after guiding me in some troubleshooting they asked me to send the bad unit back (they sent me the shipping label) and after 3 weeks I received a brand new unit as a replacement.

My husband has wanted a go pro for awhile. Got him this for our anniversary. It gets insanely hot very quickly, even the SD when it came out was hot (SD card doesn’t come with it) we paid for the go pro app and the videos wouldn’t go to the cloud. It will randomly shut off then turn back on and it’s at 20% battery. Hoping it’s just a default and can get a refund or exchange and will change rating. Can’t get ahold of support still. Very dissatisfied. Was hoping I’d be contacted to make this right.

I'll never know how it was. Since the product description failed to mention openly that a V30 SD card is required for setup, I failed to order the correct card. Had that single piece of information been made easily found, I would have been out in the pond, recording tadpoles and other invertebrates, rather than thinking about where I could get a V30 card. Therefore, the camera is going back. Make it easy for me to give you my money and not have second thoughts. (Oh what fun, I can't rate it at under 4 stars. Tells you what these ratings are worth. 😏)

My first Go-Pro, and I will absolutely be getting more. The quality is amazing for such a little camera, and a breeze to use through all our outdoor adventures. Rain or shine, even kayaking in the evening, this exceeded my expectations. Worth every penny!

Utilizo nas gravações das minhas aventuras de moto de trilha, desta forma realizo pequenas gravações de alguns segundos e as vezes alguns minutos, desta forma a bateria durou aproximadamente 90 minutos (somados os tempos dos vídeos). Para ter um melhor aproveitamento da bateria, faça pequenas filmagens, de apenas alguns minutos, depois junte as no aplicativo. Se deixar ela direto ligada, filmando, o tempo total foi de aproximado uns 30 minutos, percebi se a deixar nessa condição, superaquece muito, chamou a atenção esse detalhe. Se você busca uma câmera, com vários ajustes de qualidade de imagem, compre uma GoPro 10, 11, 12 ou 13. A Hero 4K, atende ao publico mais simples, não deixando a qualidade de imagem e estabilização de lado, e sim uma forma mais fácil de registrar os momentos. Uso um cartão de 128GB, mas um de 32 ou 64 já esta ótimo.

Really disappointed with this, was really looking forward to something that was easy to use and great quality. Below average on quality, battery life, functions. The app to down load requires payments to use. Don't buy waste of money

I believe many of the reviews here could benefit from some research before purchasing. This GoPro is ideal as a backup or primary camera for quick action sports. For example, I use it for cycling. I can capture quick shots without worrying about it being badly damaged or lost compared to a more expensive option like the Hero 13 or Mission 1. These cameras belong to different categories. This is a simple, set-it-and-forget-it type of camera.
