Brilliant Game
I remember playing this game on my old Xbox console, it has always been my favorite Splinter Cell game so I thought I'd get it again after selling my old copy with my old Xbox. The game is still as brilliant as ever and I'm getting a lot of nostalgia from it, plus I've met a lovely woman in my life that also loves this game, we are currently going through the multiplayer co-op together.

Excellent game. The graphics are super and the quick save function is a big step forward from the previous two games where it would auto-save at checkpoints only.

Doesn't work on my xbox 360
This was promised to work on Xbox 360, it doesn't no matter what I try

One of the best
I love how the game gives you a perfect learning curve so the difficulty becomes reasonably more difficult over time. The level of precision required in the game makes it hugely satisfying, for example timing your runs between your ability to disable lights and sneaking past guards that cannot be practically incapacitated. The missions themselves are certainly well made, each one takes a nice long time but is still varied within itself. You find yourself immersed in the style of the mission, for example throwing items to distract guards in a cluttered high street or disabling electronics in well it indoor environments. Each one has it's own story which is illustrated well, without interfering with the gameplay at all.The AI is somewhat predictable but should never be underestimated on Expert difficulty (recommended). They will kill you in a heartbeat if your not careful and will investigate all suspicious signs such as noise, opened doors or if their colleague does not respond. The intelligence and deadliness of all AI means that it can get quite tense when planning an attack as mistakes are fatal but success feels satisfying. The equipment you receive in the game should not be overlooked, a pistol that can disable electronics through sending a signal or a camera you can shoot that makes noise or releases an anaesthetic gas!My only problem with this game is that the map is not very useful and it can be very unclear where you have to go on one occasion. This is a game where you cannot simply charge your way through and I'm glad it's not. This is a game where if you plan ahead briefly and take a moment to survey your surroundings (Footsteps or a shadow or something useful during enemy communications), you will find it an immersive and more importantly fun experience. Furthermore, the game does take quite a long time to finish, especially when you want to do each level to an excellent standard. This is something lacking in many games made in recent times and I'm glad the splinter cell games continues this trait. This is by far one of the best stealth games in the genre and certainly one of the best games ever made. I replay it every few years and I last played it a week ago and even 8 years after its release date, it still shames many current generation games; Good games are enjoyable and quickly forgotten, but a great game is inspiring and will always be remembered. With these factors taken into account, if you are a gamer disillusioned with the current games that are just violence and fancy graphics or feel ripped off with shamelessly short games or just find too many games uninspiring and cliché. Then this game is a must buy, especially taking into account it's very low price. I only play and finish games that are exceptionally good and I buy even fewer, possibly 2-3 per year. But if my copy of this game ever got damaged, I would not hesitate to buy another copy.

The History of Sam Fisher
I bought this because I recently bought Splinter Cell Conviction for my Xbox 360, and I wanted to also play through the older games. While this, and the other games in the series that pre-date the 360, are obviously not as good graphically, they're still fantastic fun to play.I haven't had any problems playing this on the 360, and in fact I'm quite impressed at how well it works. Don't buy this if you're expecting up-to-date graphics - buy it because it's a lot of fun, and a challenge which absolutely has to be mastered to understand Sam Fisher's background and history.

Wrong one
Can't use this as it's from Europe and I'm in the US.
