I love it, the first was good but this one is amazing and the book material is so good

After finishing Heartless Hunter, I couldn’t wait to dive into this one! I loved it just as much as the first. The character growth in this book is what really stood out. The stakes feel heavier, the relationships more complicated, and the consequences more real. Gideon and Rune’s journey feels raw and earned — you can feel the exhaustion, the anger, the hope, and the heartbreak in every chapter. The romance is beautifully painful in the best way. The chemistry isn’t just about attraction; it’s about shared trauma, sacrifice, and choosing love even when everything feels lost. This book broke my heart and put it back together again. If a book can make me cry, it immediately gets 5 stars. What I loved most was how raw the story felt. The characters aren’t perfect, they aren’t safe, and they don’t get easy answers. Every relationship feels fragile and every victory feels earned. The romance simmers with heartbreak and longing, ugh! I cannot get over how good it felt reading this book!
