Worked just fine

Perfect for whatever my husband needed this for

Purchased as a gift. Good for price but pins are tight. Maybe loosen up with use but with them being tight, they make it hard to be accurate without fussing with them.

Used it to outline a cutout for an outdoor light fixture on vinyl siding.

I have used it once as a trial. I need to purchase the right size wood to actually use it for the reason I purchased it. However the project is out side so it may be a while before it is warm enough to complete it.So far it looks like it will work well.

Not good for Architectural mouldings

The unit frame is made well, the problem is the inserts of fingers that actually make the shape. They are made very poorly. The inserts are not very accurately made and they stick to the frame when extending to full size. Also the locking mechanism does not lock everything in place tight. If your are looking cheap way of measuring something once in a while, then this will work. If your are looking to use it professionally then get something else.

Works well for duplicating what otherwise would be a difficult line to reproduce.
