My wife talked me into trying 'brick models' as she has been building them for a while now. This Mould King V8 was my first attempt at brick models. I LOVE it! I had an issue with the battery box/holder from this kit; it was missing a critical internal component. I contacted the seller and was sent a replacement ASAP. This kit was so much fun to build, no missing parts at all. Once it was all completed and I hit the switch to power it up, WOW!!!! I took a video clip of the working engine and sent it out to my people, including grandsons. They were ALL sufficiently impressed. A BIG thumbs up for Mould King! 100% 5 Stars. Made many models. This is by far the best project model ever made. not one peice missing, Instructions were stellar. Just take your time and it is well worth the money and time. amazed with the 4 different speeds and the engineering that went into this as other models that Mould King sells. Going to buy another one and donate it to the schools for anyone looking to understand how a motor is built. One suggestion. Place a small inscription of what part you are building on each page, ie, cam shaft, piston housing, fuel rail, valves etc.. This would put the Mould King over the top. as clear as the instructions are, it would be good for the builder to know what assembly he/she is making. Great job... Money absolutely well spent. Great gift for any engine enthusiast or if you just like to make models.

Do not buy this. First the instructions are horibly written. And the diagrams are not clear at all. I should have known something was up when the instructions said MAKE SURE TO CHECK THE FIT BEFORE. TO PREVENT HAVING TO DISASSEMBLE TO CORRECT ERRORS. The problem is you cannot check for proper fit until it is assembled. Also the parts are not numbered and they are hard to confirm. I tried contacting the seller via the link that is on Amazon the seller never got back to me. I'm about to put the unfinished kit away until my patients returns. Buyers beware.

Fun build. Didn’t have any missing pieces. Great value for the money. If this was an actual Lego kit I could easily seeing it be $500 or more

Excellent model engine. Great quality. No missing parts but be careful because there are very few extra if you lose one. Instructions were very clear. Not cheap but for the quality it was well worth it!

It took time and patience. Once it was done I turned it on and the wrist pins let go. I had to tear it down and rebuild it. After rebuilding with a shorter stroke it works great. Lots of fun.

Great build, but one of the larger pieces was missing. Seller contacted me after to check on the transaction and I reported it to them, but never heard from them after giving my address for a replacement piece

I've bought from Mould King before, they make high-quality lego-compatible toys. This set is very impressive, and is designed to be a literal replica of how an engine functions complete with cams, valves, timing belts, fuel lines, etc. They also have a gear shifter on it so you can use it at different speeds. Very impressed with both the parts as well as the care that went into designing this item. You should be proud of yourselves. :)

On all parts. Just one for thé piston rod . ITS not flawless. Can you send me just that part please. Hé work but slack just a litle bit . Up that is not this piston how going to blow First . lol Thanks again .

UPDATE: NEVER HEARD FROM SELLER. Will not personally buy from this company again nor would I recommend them to others. In fact, I'll go so far as to say - BUYER BEWARE. We managed to get this put together but not before rebuilding it a couple of times. FIRST page of instructions and we had a missing piece. Thankfully I’m married to a McGyver-type person or this would still be sitting at page 1. (The vendor said they’d mail us the part…but we’re STILL waiting.). And about those instructions? Vague is probably the best way to describe them. I would NOT recommend this for anyone other than someone with lots of patience and time. It does work once built but the operation is not smooth. Wish the famous brick brand would delve into this area so more/better options would be available.
