Great approach on using color pencils without sharpening

These are very light. Even pushing hard on the point does not give you dark color. These are best used for background shading. I can use them, but not for my original purpose.

The "lead" is so light that it is hardly visible when writing with it. The "lead" is very hard and not worth the time to write with it.

These write well, they are a little awkward to hold in my hand. My grandchildren don’t like them because they write to lightly

Couldn’t wait to try these. I like to color to calm my anxiety. These colored pencils are hard to color with. You have to bear down so hard it tears the paper. My 4 yr old granddaughter is not able to use them. The more used the easier becomes.

They are only forever if you do not drop them. The tips are fragile enough to break off at the thread when dropped on a hard surface just like a conventional pencil, rendering them useless. If you can overcome their frailty they behave as any other hard coloured pencil. Minor tip breakage can repaired by repointing with fine abrasive paper or fine fingernail file or burnisher. I have not given up using them, but the are not as long lasting as the name implies.
