Handy and Effective for Junior Cricket Use
I'm a junior cricket coach and I keep several of these Koolpak Original Instant Ice Packs in my cricket bag at all times as they’ve turned out to be one of the most practical additions to my kit. When kids take a knock from a hard cricket ball, having something cold on hand right away is crucial and these packs have made it easy to provide immediate relief. There are smaller bags available but this size is just right to wrap around a limb. They’re compact enough to store alongside bats and pads without taking up much space, and I appreciate that they’re a one-use solution with no need to remember to get bags from the freezer or fridge: just squeeze and apply. The only issue I’ve encountered is that activating them can occasionally be a bit tricky, which isn't ideal while you're trying to manage the casualty and get a game back on. Once you’ve got them activated, they’re consistently effective. Overall, these ice packs do exactly what’s needed for our young cricket team: they're quick, cold relief in a size that’s practical and portable.

Short term solution
Used at a festival to keep cool during a heatwave. The pack gets cold immediately once activated. The pack can handle being shoved in a handbag or a pocket without accidentally activating. Unfortunately, the pack warms up pretty quickly, and within 15 minutes it feels more like a cool water bottle against skin versus ice. Still, it's great value for money for keeping a heatstroke at bay.
