Just like the expensive one
What can I say? My chefs knife can now shave paper repeatedly and with control. This kit is easy to use and works as advertised. A little awkward to use but you'll get used to it quickly. You either have to point the knife at your body or use your off hand to sharpen the opposite side.

Does the job, barely.
Poorly made. The grinding wheel comes loose while being used and if you tighten it too much to avoid that from happening, it doesn't roll. The roller is supposed to come 1000 grit and 3000 grit equipped with a 400 wheel in the box. The wheels are not labeled, mine came assembled wrong. If you know what you're doing and have familiarity with wet stones and sharpening knives, I'd say it's worth the money. If you can tell the difference between 400 and 1000 with the naked eye, it's worth the money. If you're just using this because your hands shake, your wrists hurt, and you need assistance with maintaining your grind angle, it's worth the money. If you don't know what you're doing, don't know what angles to use, don't know what grit sizes to use for what knives/stages of knife life ect I would definitely not buy it. I'm using this mostly to replace a honing rod for a high carbon layered santoku that's too expensive for me to mess up the blade angle.

Decent and Quality Knife Sharpener Kit
It is a new sharpening system and worth the money. The kit has good quality accessories---3 different discs (the listing shows they are 400/1000 diamond and 3000 ceramic), nice wooden base, roller and other 2 polishing things---i'm newer for sharpening but I have to say this is a very simply way to quickly get a nice edge on your knife after i take some time for learning from manual.
