Perfect for the times you require a small knife.
Being a Spydaco knife you're getting great workmanship. The knife easily conforms to UK carry standards, and unlike cheap box blades, this knife retains a good edge and sharpness for the time you might need to open a box or cut some string. Although it's more expensive than others, I like the sturdiness of the knife. It is a tiny thing, however, so if you have grip problems with your hands then it might not be the easiest knife for you to open. The upside is it's weight, and you can even put this into a coin purse to carry it around. As I said, it easily conforms to UK standards for knives on your person, although some places don't allow knives of any kind, this one doesn't lock, and the blade is less than 3 inches, thus making it okay for everyday carry. If you don't mind paying a bit more, then hopefully this is the little knife you can count on in an emergency.

My go to EDC knife
This is my second Bug, because the first one was taken off of me by airport security, though I did make it through half a dozen flights before someone decided to take it off me, so your mileage may vary, but stow this in your checked luggage for safety. But seriously, I can't praise this little knife enough. I have it on my keychain at all times, and it comes in clutch whenever I need a blade. Great for opening packages, cutting strings and cable ties, removing bandages and tape, etc. It's phenomenally shart, the last knife held its edge for over a year of frequent use (it was my standard knife for almost everything), and is strong enough to resist a surprising amount of sideways bending. And although it isn't locking, it does click into place somewhat so it won't easily slip shut and slice your finger tip. I simply can't praise the smart design of this little knife enough.

Excellent quality, but a little overproced
This is a very small, sharp and convenient knife. It is now permanently attached to my keychain now. It has inadvertently been through airport security several times and not been picked up (do NOT do this on purpose!); presumably thanks to its size and shape on the keychain. Knocking one star off due to its high price.

Amazing keyring EDC, but be warned - NOT flight safe (basically no blade is)
I bought this little knife in 2021 and it's lived on my keyring ever since, coming into use whenever I've needed to open a box, cut some string or generally tackle an activity that requires a small but sharp blade. It arrived sharp, and has stayed so despite me using it on a regular basis. The resistance is good enough that you don't feel it will snap closed without warning, yet the blade remains easy enough to open and close. When closed, the knife sits comfortably on my keyring, and I really don't notice the size or weight of it, so it's a permanent feature. Or was, until a recent flight where a member of the security team noticed it, and in particular the sharpness of the blade, and promptly took it off me. I've been on multiple flights in the last few years - probably over a dozen - and it's never been flagged up before now, but this time I was subject to a rigorous bag search - and they went through everything and took this knife, and a small screwdriver, off me. As such, I can only conclude that previous passages through airports have been by luck that no one has noticed the knife (as it is rather small), and if someone happens to spot it when going through security, you'll lose it. Obviously if you 'check it' in your main luggage (if you have any) then you'll have no such problems. Will I replace this knife? Yes. It's expensive, but it's worth it. I'll just make sure to take it off my keyring before I next fly!

Very sharp out the box
The Spiderco Bug Keychain Knife has astounded me with its exceptional sharpness straight out of the box and its incredible convenience as a keychain accessory. First and foremost, I was blown away by the sharpness of the blade. Despite its compact size, this little knife is razor-sharp, effortlessly tackling everyday cutting tasks with precision. Whether it's opening packages or cutting through various materials, the Bug gets the job done with ease. The sharpness is a testament to the quality craftsmanship of Spiderco. As a final note, this knife impresses on two fronts: its impressive sharpness right out of the box and its unmatched convenience as a keychain accessory.

Very high quality knife
I wanted a small knife to open all my Amazon packages but I find a normal penknife too heavy to have in a pocket all the time so tried this. Boy am I glad I did! The first great thing is that I can open it despite having feeble grip due to botched carpel tunnel op and arthritis. It is very easy to grip to open but stays very firmly closed when not trying to open it so is completely safe in a pocket. it is easily light enough to wear around the neck on a lanyard or something and is extremely well made so is an attractive object too. The next marvellous thing is that it is unbelievably sharp! I enjoyed cutting open all my parcels so much that I found myself looking around to see if there was anything else I could cut up since it is such a pleasure to use. The family looked very relieved when I finally left the room. This would be a really terrific present for anyone but perhaps particularly for husbands and Dads and brothers as not all women share my enthusiasm for practical presents. Highly recommended.

... too and can say I think they are all good build) and UK legal to carry
This little gem of a knife is very high quality ( I have other Spydercos too and can say I think they are all good build) and UK legal to carry. I have one on each of my car key rings ( and it is small enough and light enough not to be a nuisance) and I cannot tell you how many times they have been used. From opening packages, cutting rope and paracord and sorting out my cuticles! It holds a very good edge. It is easy to open this knife and the slip joint has not loosened at all, has just the right amount of firmness. If you need a tiny effective and very sharp knife for all those occasions when you think ' oh damn I need a knife for this' then this is the one!

It's small. It's rather small. It's very small. It's extremely small. It's really, really, really fairly kind of small.

I decided it was time to add a little functionality to my key chain. I already have a Fenix light, and a Gerber Shard to help in a pinch but I yearned for a small blade to have just in case I didn't have a folding knife with me. I didn't want anything menacing or too big and the Bug definitely was a great choice. It's tiny to the point it is almost cute but the blade is still wickedly sharp and every bit of quality you'd expect from Spyderco, just in a micro size. The all stainless steel look is pretty classy, too. Obviously, it's a slip joint lock so this isn't something you want to use as a heavy duty cutter. It's small enough to be functional but that's about it. Light duty tasks like opening boxes, envelopes, cutting string etc is all suitable for this tiny knife. But again, it's just too small to safely attempt anything beyond that. Even so, great have to have because it will always be with you (unless you happen to be flying or going in a courtroom, don't forget to remove it). It's actually just a tad smaller than my Victorinox keychain knife and MUCH sharper. Despite the familiar Spyderco hole, opening this thing is 2 handed affair. Still looks cool, though. I'm almost tempted to throw a zip tie in the hole and see if I can manage to open it with just my thumb. But then again, the small stature and classy look is perfect and I can live with decreased functionality. On a side note, when I first opened the little gift box it comes in, there was a small spot of rust on the blade. I buffed it out with a Dremel and some CLP and it actually opens a lot smoother now. Awesome and surprisingly small blade for your keys!

Hat den schärfsten Grundschliff. Rasieren kein Problem.
