OXO Brew Rapid Brewer: My Morning Coffee Just Got a Major Upgrade – Absolutely 5 Stars!
As a self-proclaimed coffee snob who also values efficiency, I've been on a long quest for the perfect home brewing system. I've tried pour-overs, French presses, and various automatic drip machines, but none have quite hit the sweet spot of convenience, quality, and speed until the OXO Brew Rapid Brewer entered my kitchen. This machine is a game-changer and has unequivocally earned its 5-star rating. The "Rapid Brewer" in its name is no exaggeration. This machine lives up to its promise, delivering a perfectly brewed pot of coffee in an incredibly short amount of time. Mornings are often a rush, and the ability to have a delicious, hot cup ready almost instantly is a huge win. There's no long wait, just quick, efficient brewing that doesn't compromise on flavor. And speaking of flavor, this is where the OXO truly shines. The taste of the coffee is consistently exceptional. It achieves that elusive balance of rich extraction without bitterness. I believe this is due to its precise temperature control and the rainmaker shower head, which evenly saturates the coffee grounds. Every cup tastes clean, vibrant, and full-bodied, rivaling coffee from much more expensive machines or even my favorite local coffee shop. The simplicity of operation is another major selling point. It's incredibly intuitive – fill the water reservoir, add your grounds, and press a button. There are no complicated settings or programming to fuss with, making it perfect for those groggy early mornings. Yet, it still offers the option for single-serve or full carafe brewing, adding to its versatility. Finally, the design is sleek and practical. It has a compact footprint that doesn't dominate my countertop, and the stainless steel accents give it a premium feel. Cleaning is also straightforward, which is always a bonus. In conclusion, the OXO Brew Rapid Brewer has completely elevated my morning routine. It delivers consistently excellent coffee with remarkable speed and effortless operation. If you're looking for a coffee maker that combines convenience with genuinely superior brew quality, look no further. This is an investment you won't regret – a resounding 5-star product!

BETTER THAN AEROPRESS HANDS DOWN!
I have had an AeroPress for years and stopped using it because it was frustrating and dissatisfying. I always felt like the planets had to align to get the temperature right, or the grounds perfect. The OXO is better than the AeroPress hands down AND it makes both hot and cold coffee that is strong and delicious! Wow! I waited a few months to review so I could brew many cups and they are always perfect. To be able to get an iced coffee (really cold brew strength) on the fly in four minutes is beyond amazing. I use a larger grind for the iced, and you have to use 40g instead of the 20g for hot but it is well worth it. I just made hot coffee and realized it was time to review because it was so delicious! I usually grind my own but it works just as well with my canned Kirkland coffee grounds in a pinch. I do use an aero press filter in it, not sure it’s necessary but I haven’t tried it without. A couple of notes, always make sure you tamp the coffee with the tamper because once I forgot and the water just pours through. Also, make sure your silver pump is screwed down before you screw it on the water chamber because that’s what creates the vacuum. Economical and delicious with hot and iced! Cannot be beat!

Makes great coffee
This is almost like a hand operated espresso machine. You put your coffee in and pack it down, pour some hot water in, wait a couple minutes, then use the pump to pressurize it and push the water through the grounds. I like to give it a couple extra pumps to extract some crema too. It's super easy to use and has upped my coffee game. I used a french press for a long time but I always hated how much sludge there was in the bottom of my coffee. With this there are nearly no solids passing through. You can also make iced coffee by using cold water and just letting it sit longer. It tastes good that way too. If you like making strong coffee, or americanos, or cappuccinos, and don't want to pay lot's of money for an espresso machine, this is the next best thing. Works better than those cheap espresso machines.

Best brewer? Maybe… can you use aeropress filters? Yes.
The media could not be loaded. Still figuring out the settings for the right brew as I am not happy with the directions listed. I found out a pleasant surprise, Aeropress filters will fit into the brew chamber so you can make sure no coffee grounds get through( a bit of problem with finer grinds and less worry for cleanup). You can take this a step further by wetting the paper with boiling water (not for taste but better adherence to the brew chamber and adding heat to the chamber before brewing). Not surprisingly water will take time to go through the paper and metal filter, to get over this issue use the pump and screw it onto the brew chamber and give a few presses. Now the paper is form fitted and all excess water has been removed ready for coffee. Overall I want to like this thing more than an aeropress due to price but time and experimenting will tell if it can do better hot coffee. Have not tried the cold brew method with this I got another method for that in the kitchen.

Economic, easy, convenient
I'm very surprised how great it is working even with some cheap ground coffee I own, the plumber is very easy to operate and the concentrate produced easily makes 2 cups of great coffee drinks. Is it also amazing how well the permanent filter works, I once worried it being some marketing gimmick and requires single use filters anyway, nope I was wrong, you can gently scrub off used ground coffee easily, even without adding any cleaning solution so it can go into trash bags instead of kitchen sink, avoiding potential clog.I still clean it by hand after a week of use, I understand it is dish washer safe but just want it to last longer. My only complaint is it doesn't come with a screw on cap for the bottom so the permanent filter isn't covered when not in use(the small cup itself doesn't mount to the main body in anyway during transportation), I don't think it will survive in my backpack bumping around the keys and other sharp items.
