IRIS USA XX-Large High Sided Cat Litter Box, Scatter Shield, Navy

We have an 18-year-old, high-maintenance calico who, in her golden years, has become—let’s say—“litter-box aiming challenged.” For a while, her trot to the litter box had become a supervised event. If we weren’t watching closely, there was a very real chance that her insistent proclivity for depositing her goodies in a corner of the box would end up with a miss and a mess. Enter the IRIS USA XX-Large Open Top Litter Box. Game. Changer. This thing is huge (in the best way). The high sides and generous space mean she can turn, reposition, contemplate her life choices—and still actually land where she’s supposed to and demands to. No more hovering nearby like nervous stage managers making sure everything goes according to plan. The tall scatter shield has been especially helpful. Even with her less-than-precise technique, everything stays contained inside the box where it belongs. Cleanup is easier, the surrounding area stays clean, and our stress level has dropped significantly. It’s also sturdy, easy to clean, and perfect for older cats who need a little extra room to maneuver comfortably. If you have: a senior cat a large cat multiple cats or a cat with… interpretive bathroom habits …this box is absolutely worth it. We went from monitoring every trip to the litter box to actually trusting the process again—which, in a multi-cat or senior-cat household, is nothing short of a miracle. 🐾

We have never tried a litter box like this before. It's big. Not for use in tight spaces. But, if you have multiple cats, or a really big cat or two, this box is great! The high sides are great. One of our boy kitties, despite being neutered, still sprays sometimes when he goes potty. This box solved that problem. He's also the big kitty, close to 17 pounds (big cat, not fat) and he can just go in, do his thing, turn around easily, and come out EASILY! Odor control is a non-issue for us regardless of what kind of box we use, because we scoop minimum of twice daily. This litter box isn't nearly as heavy as I thought it might be, and seems to be quite durable. Another one of our cats likes to dig to China when he is in there, and used to toss litter all over the floor. This box has greatly diminished his messiness. We plan on buying at least one more, maybe two. We used to use hooded boxes-----for our benefit, not theirs. We've really changed out approach to litter boxes. It needs to be for their benefit, not ours. They will use what they like, and be less likely to go elsewhere (in unwanted places). Of course, this excludes medical and stress-induced behavior issues, regarding littler box use. I'm just talking about every day litter box use. Mine like this big box. We still have some smaller hooded ones, they have been largely ignored since we got this big one. The cats have spoken!

Great buy! I recently adopted a new kitten & I already have a 2 year old cat. She had outgrown the standard size anyway before getting the kitten. This thing is like 3 litter boxes in one! Holds a full box of litter, high sides keep litter tracking to a minimum. They can both fit comfortably & turn around & there’s still extra room. A steal for multi cat households!

I have three cats. One perfect and 2 not so much. I had 2 litter boxes for the 3 cats. One cat would aim correctly but pee would go over the top of the box. I bought this box to replace the 2 I was using. It is a huge box. The sides are really tall and now no pee going over the top. I have 2 suggestions for the seller though. There are two little wider jut outs on the back of the box that my cats like to aim for. Problem is the edges are smaller than my scoop and difficult to scoop out. If the back was just straight across, there would be no problem. Next is the edges all around the box are difficult to scoop after awhile. This is probably due to being plastic, but I just spray with PAM when I clean the box to get it slippery again. Love the box and I would buy again even with these minor issues.

This litter box is VERY large! Great for large cats or multi cat houses. I ended up returning mine as it was a little too big for my house and it showed up cracked so my cat couldn’t use it. Great size for the price though!

The picture does this litter box "No Justice" at all this sucker is huge. But it's the perfect size for Tommy, he has enough room to move around in it. When he throws the litter it does not go outside the box. It's a perfect size for him because he's at 12 lb cat. The litter box itself doesn't smell but the litter that I'm using which is tidy cat works really well there's no scent to the letter and it holds the smell from him using the bathroom really really well. It's easy to scoop the poop out of the litter box because it is enormously huge but it is very functional. Aside from it being very bulky it looks nice. I feel like it's very sturdy and very easy to use and maintain.

I have 3 cats and this is a great size. The litter doesn’t get messy, I use the multi cat Glade Tidy cats. Worth the extra money.

Just wow! I have a large flame point ragdoll cat, and standard litter boxes are so small for her. She takes up the entire thing link wise. It was really hard to clean. This is huge. It does take two boxes of litter to fill up, but it is worth it because she has so much room now to move around and do her business. She absolutely loves it and was so proud of herself when she first got in it and used it. I know she notices the difference. If you have multiple cats or you have a large cat, this is the box. Trust me!!!

Ik raad deze kattenbak iedereen aan! Is misschien wel prijzig, maar wel waard voor je geld. Hij is ruim voor meer dan twee katten. Ze kunnen goed in bewegen, graven. De kattenbakvulling blijft goed binnen. Zo hou je het schoon op de vloer. Ze zijn allebei tevreden. Daarna heb ik er nog één bij besteld. Wie weet er nog één, want twee katten is twee kattenbakken + 1 kattenbak erbij. Ik heb er geen spijt van. Het item is ook goed geleverd. Niet beschadigd.

Very good for big cats, lots of room to move around in. Good quality no issues with the unit.

J’ai commandé ce bac à litière XXL car mon chat avait tendance à mettre de la litière partout et à marcher dans ses selles pour les enterrer. Avec celui-ci, c’est bien mieux ! Il est vraiment très grand, j’ai mis plus de 5 litres de litière, et offre suffisamment d’espace pour que mon chat soit à l’aise. Les rebords sont hauts, ce qui évite les projections à l’extérieur. Franchement, il est idéal pour les grands chats ou ceux qui aiment gratter énergiquement leur litière ou ceux qui ont plusieurs chats

This litter box is a god send. My cat, Wyatt, is a true scratch the litter every where kind of guy. I did not know at times where my floor began and the litter box ended. This box is a nice large size and has high sides to keep everything where it should be. It is worth the price!
