Words Are Hard

We brought this game along to a birthday party a couple weeks ago, and it was a HUGE HIT! The game itself is so simple that I didn’t think it would be a lot of fun, but if you get the right group of people it can make the whole night. We played with about 10 people and modified the rules a little bit to make it easier to play with a large group around the living room, but the fundamentals remained the same and everybody had a blast. The cards seem like they are sturdy and will last a long time despite the slapping element of the game. There’s nothing in the box except game cards to use, so traveling with it is extremely easy. You can either take the box and all of the cards, or grab a ziploc bag and take half the cards with you in a backpack. There is no game board or timer to go along with it so that’s easy. It’s a terrific game and would make a terrific game for anyone in your life that enjoys a game with rapid gameplay (bananagrams comes to mind) and truly feels like it’d be great for all ages playing together at one time. The round cards are a clever way to ensure the picture doesn’t always point in the same direction when the card is flipped, which adds a fun and challenging twist to the game.

Just buy it. I bought 4. If the high school friends are coming over and asking to play - it's a good game. If the college aged kid and his friends come over and ask to play this - it's a winner. If the grandparents come over and ask to play the "Hard Words" game - you know its amazing. This game is SO DANG FUN. You can play over and over again and still laugh so hard you might pee a little bit. We are gamers - and I'm so glad social media showed me this one. A few friends got it for Christmas, including my boss. Super easy to learn, super easy instructions, and can be played with ANY age group. From 10 years old to 82 years old - it's the perfect game.

This is an easy-to-learn, fast-paced, fun family game. Especially fun watching brothers play against each other (some cards may have been damaged during that round!) The cards could be made a little more durable, but held up pretty well, considering. Cards are about the size of a small circular coaster. Definitely recommend, especially for the competitive types, as you will laugh while players fumble over their words trying to get the right word out! This game also has a good price point, especially for the laughs and entertainment you will get from it!

Fun game for all ages! The instructions are easy to follow and it is not a difficult game to learn. The concept of the game keeps everyone on their toes. Great gift idea or great purchase to change up your game night with friends and family!

This game is so much my fun. My 7 and 8 year olds LOVE it. My husband and I enjoy it as well. It’s simple and easy to play and provides lots of laughs!
