Can I drape this on my tent or do I need to suspend it over my tent?

Yes you can drape it. You would need to secure it to the surface of the tent using small clamps or clips do it doesn't blow away.

Is this genuine Aluminet? Or is this cheap China imitation?

The seller says it is genuine, but the photo diagram says "Aliminet". Is it a typo? Or is it actually not "Aluminet"? What credible manufacturer would allow that typo in their marketing materials? So, I remain skeptical about the origin of this product.

I am assuming the balls on the bungee fit into the grommets. What is the size of the balls.

Notmal size should work. But, on ours, the grommet holes were not symmetrical between the corners. So be aware of that.

What is the reflective material? Is it as implied; Alum?

According to the description for this product, Aluminet is made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE), Polyethylene (PE). We found it very useful at lowering the temperature in our tent during the end of June last year.
