Zinus Piper Upholstered Platform Bed with Paneled Headboard, Full

Nice for the price. Needed a bed temporarily because of an out of state move. It’s easy to set up, and looks good. Because it was inexpensive it was easy to donate when the need was met.

I was a previous Zinus customer 5 years ago, and absolutely LOVED the headboard and frame. It was sturdy well-made, and looked amazing. This falls short of that a bit I'm afraid. I will say the frame is the exact same quality. Its metal with sturdy wooden slats, which allows you to use a matress in a box on it without anything underneath (metal strategy beds you cant'). I will also say that this headboard/frame also looks great. Where it looses a star is the quality of the head board. It feels like 1/4 inch particle board, not even plywood. Thankfully it's against a wall, and I dont see how you would make it look good otherwise with an exposed back, so it isn't the end of the world. All in all its still an amazing product for the price and I would by again, it just fall shy of my precious Zinus frame/headboard. P.S. From delivery to clean-up (including making the bed) it took me only a little over an hour to assemble. Super simple!

I had high hopes for this Zinus king bed frame after reading some of the positive reviews, but my experience has been pretty disappointing overall. The biggest issue is that the pieces just don’t fit together properly. There are noticeable gaps between sections, and no matter how much I adjusted or tightened the screws, it still didn’t align right (check out the pictures I’ve attached). It feels wobbly and unstable, which is the last thing you want in a bed frame. I’m honestly worried it’s not going to hold up over time because of this. On top of the fit problems, the assembly process was a complete headache. None of the materials or parts are labeled clearly—or at all, in some cases. The instructions are vague, and I spent way too much time trying to figure out which piece was which. It’s like a puzzle with missing clues. I’m not new to assembling furniture, but this felt unnecessarily complicated and frustrating. What should’ve taken an hour tops turned into a multi-hour ordeal, and even then, the end result wasn’t satisfying. The design itself looks decent once it’s together, and I’ll give it points for being sleek and modern. The price isn’t outrageous either, which is why I didn’t go straight to one star. But the poor quality control with the fit and the lack of labeling really drag this down. I expected more from Zinus, especially since they’ve got a decent reputation. Maybe I got a defective unit, but based on this, I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re ready to gamble on getting a better batch than I did. For something as important as a bed frame, I’d rather spend a little more for something that fits right and doesn’t make assembly a chore.

Honestly, when I purchased this I wasn’t expecting much for the price. I was pleasantly surprised! The fabric quality is much better than I expected! Also, the bed frame is extremely easy to build! Most could probably assemble it with common sense alone. Also, the kit comes with a free rachet! This saved so much time with the screws. All the hardware is nice and top quality as well. They use rivet inserts which is by far a superior way to fasten things together for greater strength when compared to wood screws. My only advice is to ensure you double check the orientation of all the parts and ensure they match what the blue prints are showing you. The directions use pictures to show you have to assemble much like legos do. It’s critical that you check which sides are left and right, and the flanges are positioned correctly. Overall, this is a FANTASTIC bed frame for the price! Had this built in under a half hour.

I was hesitant to buy a bed at this price but the reviews were convincing. They were right. This is an unbelievable bargain. The bed looks much more expensive, and it is very sturdy. This was a guest bedroom bed so I was trying to see if some of the lower-priced stuff was worthwhile. Between this and my $200 mattress in a box, I swear this is better than my much more expensive master.

I’ve put together many Zinus beds without difficulty. This model had the worst instructions. Unclear. Difficult to identify parts. The headboard is shipped folded in the middle which leaves an ugly crease that cheapens the bed. Very disappointing from an otherwise rock-solid brand.

This bed frame is mostly good, there were just a few things that I didn't like. The headboard is upolstered and made up of two pieces of wood that fold in the center to make the packaging smaller. This created a bunch of wrinkles in the upolstery where the fold is in the middle, I hope it comes out over time. One of the stands had an improperly threaded hole and the small screw had to be forcibly crossthreaded to be flat against the framing. On the upolstered side panels it looks like they use threaded grommets insetted into the wood. When screwing in the cross beam near the headboard one of the grommets pushed itself out somehow. I tried to hammer back in with a rubber mallet as to not damage the upolstery but that didn't work. I screwed in the small screw a bit and then used a pair of pliers to pull the grommet back into the wood so it was flush. Other than that, assembly was fine, it took about an hour with two people even with the problems. It seems like this will be a pain to take apart for moves.

I honestly bought this bed hoping it would just “do the job,” but the second we finished setting it up, my entire bedroom looked like a high-end hotel room. The dark grey upholstery and horizontal paneled headboard give it such a modern, expensive look without the luxury price tag. The assembly was surprisingly easy — all the parts were neatly packed and the instructions were simple to follow. We had it together much faster than expected. I also LOVE that you don’t need a box spring because the wooden slats are sturdy and supportive on their own. One of the biggest surprises was how solid and quiet this bed is. No squeaking, no wobbling, and it feels extremely sturdy even with a king mattress. The headboard is also comfortable to lean against for reading or watching TV. The eco-friendly packaging was a nice bonus too — everything arrived compact and well protected with minimal waste. If you want a bed frame that looks stylish, feels sturdy, and instantly upgrades your room without spending thousands, this is 100% worth it.
