Game changer for Apple integration
Game changer for older cars — seamless wireless CarPlay! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I bought this unit to modernise my older vehicle without having to tear apart the dashboard for an expensive aftermarket stereo installation, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. Flawless Wireless Connectivity: I use Apple CarPlay which connects automatically within seconds of starting the car. Zero lag while switching tracks or loading Apple Maps and Google Maps. Display Quality: The 9-inch screen is bright, sharp, and easy to read even in direct midday sun. The touch responsiveness feels just like a modern smartphone screen. Audio Routing: Having multiple output options is a huge plus for me. I can connect via the 3.5mm AUX cable which delivers crisp, clear sound through my car’s speakers with no background hiss. Easy Mounting: i used the included suction mount which i find is sturdy and hasn't budged over the roads or changes in temperature. The setup took me roughly 10 minutes. If you are looking for a modern navigation system, the benefits of hands-free calling, and smart media control without rewiring your dashboard or spending loads on a high end system, then this is worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Super easy to set up
Really pleased with this! It was very easy to set up and connected to my phone quickly. The screen is a great size, clear and easy to use, and having wireless CarPlay/Android Auto is really handy, especially for maps and music. For the price, I think it's excellent value and a great way to update an older car without having to replace the whole stereo. Would definitely recommend.

Unusable device
After owning and using this device for approximately 7 months, I feel I am able to give a proper review this must be the worst navigation screen I have laid my hands on. Let me explain: The issues started about a month in after the purchase, problem 1: the screen concistintley kicks you out from the navigation screen back to the device home screen and then after 2 or 3 minutes the screen will go back to the navigation screen. This happens non stop through my travels and some of my driving sessions would last 5 to 6 hours. So you can just imagine how frustating these constant restarts would be. Problem 2: at some point the navigation screen now no longer boots you to the home screen but instead the entire screen just freezes up. This means your screen freezes while on the navigation map and so if you do not keep a constant eye on your map and notice the freeze you will get lost. Now I have tried every single manor of trouble shooting and advice out there on both google , other device users and supplier page inculding different android versions, different phones, different usb cables, different usb ports, for both data and power to the device and using the provided power supply for the device and none of this resolved these issues. Therefor I am 100% sure that the issues lies with the actual device and not a software in use aka android auto or google maps, any and all app and software settings, and or combinations thereof, phone or cable/power issue. I would sgrongly recommend any future buyers from steering clear of this specific navigation screen.

Fantastic piece of kit
Really pleased with this piece of kit. The screen size is excellent and the touch screen is very responsive. It boots immediately and so far, three weeks in, has never failed to connect to my phone which was the reason I decided to replace my previous, cheaper version. Picture quality is really good and I use the included aux cable to use the aux input in my car as it is old and doesn't have a Bluetooth radio. I have also tested the FM option and that works well with good sound quality through the stereo. As mentioned, the touch screen is very responsive making it easy to scroll through the various screens. With the screen being larger I use the split screen option much more than I used to on my previous, smaller version. Set up was a breeze, literally went into Bluetooth on my iPhone, tapped the unit name, confirmed the pairing and that was it. Could not have been easier. The package includes two mounts and a round sticky pad which I have put on the dashboard. The unit is very stable, doesn't shake around when driving and has not fallen off once yet. I can only recommend this item, I was a little nervous about spending this much when cheaper options were available but this was really worth the money and I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Great after-market Android Auto option
I already have a similar LAMTTO product in my van, so I decided to get one for my car. It arrived quickly and I was impressed by what was in the box. It comes with lots of different mounting options for the car and they even include a trim tool to help hide the wires cleanly, which is a nice touch. Installation was incredibly quick and easy; it took me just 5 minutes to mount it to the dashboard. Took it out this weekend for a long road trip and it worked flawlessly. Having navigation on a large screen makes a massive difference, and the audio integrates with the car's Bluetooth seamlessly, meaning I can still use my car's steering wheel/dash controls to skip Spotify songs. It's a very reasonably priced product and I’d highly recommend it to anyone driving an older car without built-in Android Auto.

Great update to my tired car!
First impression from opening feels sturdy and well made. It comes with 2 standard mounts you can choose from for your car. The flat bracket that clips into the back of the screen can be unscrewed from the fixed position to alter the rotation which worked better for our car. On my old MK5 Astra the flat bracket actually squeezes into the clock space tight enough that it stays in place without sticking to anything so sits flush with my car stereo and has stayed put after multiple car journeys. Set up was so simple, easy to follow instructions with pictures and QR codes for video tutorials too. Functionality is great- responsive and no drop in signal. Tuned the audio to the FM signal since I have an older car with no audio port but can also be wired using the aux port cable thats provided too if thats what your car has. Able to easily connect to CarPlay using iphone. User friendly screen, side button to easily switch display off at night if you want to but still runs until you touch the screen which brings it back on again. Brightness adjustment can be controlled too. Theres no USB for phone chargers however you can get double 12v usb adapter plug for about a fiver on amazon so you can plug this device and then phone in to charge the USB slot too 👍 so pleased with this, especially at the price point!

Fine for the price point
Fine for what it is and the price point. It works. However, screen needs a contrast control, its quite washed out. It doesn't have a battery so needs a cable to power it and a cable to go to the aux socket. So, cables all over the place.

Buyer beware !!!! Not worth the effort works when it chooses to work
This was not my first choice this was plan B after Amazon lost my preferred choice for a car play option and they suggested this product. Set up was simple enough I put it in my work truck a 2017 Chevy Colorado. Plugs into cigarette lighter for power / audio jack for phone / music / car play to go thru car speakers. Is good size not to big not small. Sits on my dash relatively easily . If you want CarPlay or android auto to access all those related features YOU HAVE TO USE WIFI NOT BLUETOOTH OR IT WILL NOT WORK!!! I would rather find a unit that has a built in usb that I could plug directly into but have yet to come across one. So that being said the WiFi is proprietary to the unit and your phone will connect to the signal carlink. Now first few days was like my personal vehicle I played my music got my directions my texts my phone calls and then it began. I’m driving down the road with directions on and suddenly the unit turns off goes black!! I move plug around thinking it’s the power source then have work mechanic check make sure all 3 outlets work. That worked a few times I just moved it around but typically most people only have 1 outlet. Then it got worse. Would be mid phone call center of a highway and screen turns off few seconds or sometimes minutes turns back on reconnects then disconnects again and so on and so on . I’m driving with someone he’s like you gotta a lot of alarms set I’m like no the unit turns on and off reconnects to phone disconnects from phone so it chimes every time it turns on and turns off. Goes back to start up screen and while your driving if it doesn’t reconnect you have to open phone check WiFi and try to reconnect to the car link address. Sometimes it’s once or twice today sitting in a lot with 5g service it would just turn on and off connect / disconnect seven times. Also if you don’t turn the unit off and your in range of the car it will go for whatever internet connection your phone is on and connect to the vehicle. Your mid phone call you lose voice and you look at phone hearing nothing to find out it’s connected to vehicle. You turn WiFi off to get it out of vehicle it turns it back on and reconnects to the unit . Only way to avoid that is turn the unit off. Now because it does look nice when it works and when it works I have no complaints but I should have checked return policy sooner because I would avoid this at all costs. Anybody tells you differently ask them how long they have used it .. because I’m pretty sure I’m not the only person this happens to and company offers no support services or warranty so buyer beware .

Great in concept but falls short
I bought this for my 2010 Highlander, which due to a combination of a powered subwoofer and GPS, has no aftermarket head units available for upgrade. In concept, this is a great idea and would have worked but in execution falls short. First, I ordered a LAMTTO brand unit and what I received had no branding on the box or on the unit itself. You aren't getting a brand, you are getting a generic Chinese product. This is confirmed buy using the QR codes for installation instructions and customer support. They don't take you to a LAMTTO page specific to your unit, just generic pages that say only CUSTOMER SUPPORT and INSTALLATION. Second, the design is "off". The cords plug into the driver side of the unit which means you have to route them across the back of the unit and down instead of just putting them on the right side. The mounting options are a bit restrictive, the plate that comes to mount it on is hard and flat instead of flexible. Who has a perfectly flat dash? The suction cup with the arm may have worked, I didn't get that far. The problem which killed it for me was after I got everything set up to test it, I plugged the AUX cord in and immediatley got a high pitched clicking sound that did not go away. This is coming from the unit as other AUX accessories I use with my car do not make this sound. Maybe "LAMTTO" or whoever makes this unit could include a shielded AUX cable. Not sure if this would work or not but I can't deal with the rapid fire clicking sound. The screen itself looked okay and was reasonably responsive, not fast but reasonable. The audio quality, clicking noise aside, seemed pretty good. I really wish this would have worked out because it goes a long way toward solving my problem.

Very nice unit for the price with outstanding customer service!
My car is from 2015 and has Bluetooth for my Android phone but that's it. I really wanted Android Auto so that I could have a display with bigger maps, play streaming music through it and have my text messages read when they were received. I watched a number of online videos and reviews of various units and this LAMTTO looked like it was the best bang for the buck, so I ordered one. Out of the box, I followed the simple instructions of turning my phone's Bluetooth and WiFi on. I had already paired my phone with the car, so I just needed to pair it with the LAMTTO unit. This went smoothly and the WiFi connection was also set up. I chose to output the sound from the unit using Bluetooth and that was it. The unit was up and running after no more than a couple of a minutes of setup. My phone is a Pixel and so I am using Android Auto. I was able to use the Google Maps app and YouTube Music. Everything works like a dream. What really impressed me is that without changing anything in the car or on the device, I am still able to use my car's microphone for phone calls and the steering wheel mounted controls that came with the car for jumping from track to track on YouTube Music work (as do the volume and mute controls). If there's anything else I need, I simply say "OK, Google" and make my request. It's worked flawlessly. I wanted to change the logo from the default sports car to the car company logo so the device looks more "stock." I contacted customer service and they walked me through the process via email. In case anyone is interested in how to do this there is a SD card reader under the sticker that has the button functions on the left side of the device. I formatted the SD card as an ExFAT device on my PC and created a 1024 x 600 72 dpi JPEG image which was saved as boot_logo.jpg on the SD card. I booted the device up without the card in the slot. After the device was powered up, I put the card in and saw a message that notified me that the boot logo had been updated. I shut the device down and removed the card. Upon the next boot, the new logo appeared and that was it. Thanks to Nancy at LAMTTO for the guidance to get this done. The only nitpicky downside I have discovered is that the even though there is an automatic switch setting between day and night mode for Google Maps, it doesn't work. Other reviewers also noted this. All things considered, this is actually a small annoyance because it's relatively simple to change the mode on the device as the need arises. All in all, I highly recommend this device if you're looking to update an older car to Android Auto without pulling the whole stereo system as so many of the Android Auto head units do. I took a look at several different size configurations of these devices and this one allowed me to see a big Google Maps area (great for my old eyes) and the unit still sits below the horizon of the front windshield. I'd recommend before buying any unit that you find out the height and width of the unit, draw it up and put the drawing in the car to see the real estate it's going to consume -- you want to be able to see your entire windshield field of view. Safety first! I am now in the process of ordering a piggyback fuse tap to wire this into my fuse box so the cigarette outlet in the center dash console isn't used and the install will look cleaner. Overall this is an awesome product and the company provides awesome customer support! I couldn't be anymore pleased.

Great value for money, works great
This screen is fantastic! With only a little bit of setup it does exactly what it says it does, giving my old Corolla Android Auto compatibility so I can now enjoy my music and always have GPS available without having to touch my phone. I can also use voice commands to control everything. The many different modes also make it pretty flexible for any particular need you might have. You can use it as a speaker by itself for example. I have had a couple of times when it's bugged out a little, but honestly, it's been much more reliable than I would expect any $70 aftermarket device to be! For example, Android Auto once crashed when a passenger took a picture with my phone while it was running my GPS in an area there was no data service. It immediately reloaded but GMaps couldn't redownload the directions without data, and so I was driving blind for a little while, which was not great. But also, it's pretty reasonable that my phone had trouble playing music, relaying offline GPS directions, communicating with the screen through both BT and WiFi, and taking a picture at the same time, which is typically not something you need to do all at once. So, I chalk that one up to it being Android Auto on my phone's fault. Pro-tip: Set up a driving mode so your phone automatically turns on Bluetooth and Wifi whenever it connects to either one (this screen requires both for Android Auto) and location for GMaps. Screen could be slightly quicker at booting up and connecting, but it does so pretty reliably within 5-10s max I'd say, so more than quick enough if I turn my car on as soon as I hop in, before putting on my seatbelt or doing anything I need to before I get going. This thing is also surprisingly sturdy! The reason I know is because the Texas sun was not forgiving on the adhesive in the pivot stand where it adheres to my car's console, so I would typically come back to my car and both the screen and mount would have fallen onto my shifter and either the floor or the passenger seat. But massive props to the fact that neither the screen nor the mount have broken or even shown signs of damage after dozens of times this has happened! I'm pretty sure the pivot mount was meant to be stuck onto the glass, so that's partly my fault too. And customer service was a breeze to work with and they happily sent me a replacement mount. I think I probably fiddled with it too much at times, including removing it and hiding it whenever I was paranoidly worried about someone being incentivized by the screen to break into my car in a particular area. (Who knows! They might not realize it's cheap lol) I'm still going to slap the new mount onto the console instead of the glass, so hopefully I can find a way to take better care of it this time.

It’s great!
My car does not have a working cigarette lighter. It is a 2018 Nissan Sentra. I don’t have Apple CarPlay in my car and I really enjoyed it on cars that I have rented. I decided I would purchase this for a trip and it was wonderful. It’s very helpful. It’s huge. I will say it is extremely large. I bought a USB-C cord to charge it in my car because my car does have a USB port. You will need either a USB cord with USB-C or a cigarette lighter to keep this thing powered up. I’d say it’s really worth it. It has to be plugged into a power source and the car turned on in order to work. I bought the $10 insurance in case something happens with it. I think it’s well worth it. I have it hooked up to my window because I don’t really want to put it anywhere else. It works well, it does take some learning. It plays through my car Speakers through Bluetooth and it sounds pretty good. I use it for GPS (Waze and Apple Maps) and I also use it to listen to music. It’s really awesome and I highly suggest getting this. There Was one time that it did turn off in the middle of me driving and turned back on, I’m not sure what happened. However this is a great idea. I didn’t want to spend $500-1000 getting it installed In my car, my car already has a back up camera so I did not purchase the one with a back up camera, however I would say that that’s pretty good deal. Ive left it in a heated car all day for weeks at a time and there are no issues, however, I won’t suggest leaving it in the heat. The features are great. It’s just like a regular CarPlay, Apple CarPlay or Android CarPlay. It’s durable. It’s easy to read and the speakers actually not too bad if that’s all you’re going to use if you have an older car or you do something like DoorDash or any of those things and you’re looking for something to help you. I really suggest getting this. I also told my parent, my dad, he does delivery jobs like that and I think it’ll be really helpful for him. Im so glad they offer this for people that do not have factory CarPlay, its well worth the price and saved me a ton of money. Update: it’s Jan 2026 and this baby is still going! I had to buy a replacement arm to hold it that attaches to my window. Sometimes with iPhone updates I find sound issues where I wasn’t able to hear navigation from Apple Maps. Could just be user error. Not sure but this thing is SO worth the purchase. If it does out I’ll absolutely buy another one.
