Incredible board. Will boot from SD, USB,EMMC, and NVME with no problems. Fast. Plenty of software on the Orange pi site and github. I don't understand the other reviews about lack of software. It is fast. It only lacks in comparison to the to Raspberry Pi in terms of incredible support for the Raspberry Pi. Did I mention, fast fast fast!

Love them, have many for my projects. Pi5 just sits on the shelf

If I could give this board 0 stars I would. On paper it is an excellent SBC: high memory capacity, fast processor, fast networking, etc. The first thing to notice though is that there is no ecosystem for cases. The single one that is available effectively precludes installing an NVMe with even a moderate heatsink. Worse, though, is its memory bus. I first noticed this when using an NVMe drive with high I/O. The board would crash consistently with an SError on the serial console under heavy reads or writes to a btrfs volume. I later reproduced these crashes by exercising the memory using stress-ng. The memory chip itself is likely fine and the CPU itself is also likely fine. I strongly suspect an issue with the board design, specifically related to SI and how the memory bus traces are connected to the lpddr5 memory asic. Do not buy unless you want pain.
