This ladder is lightweight and as I needed, very sturdy with wide steps so I that I don't fall off so easy. The handle on the top is the good AND bad to this story. The handle extends upward and locks into place to make me more stable. This handle collapses down so that when folded up and collapsed, it takes up minimal space in the corner. Here's the rub... that handle doesn't lock into place when it's down. What this means to me is, when I grab the folded up ladder to move it and I grab the top handle, it flies up abruptly. I have developed the habit of grabbing the steps by the top step to move it so that it doesn't get an attitude. I paid more money for good steps like these because Walmart's 3-step plastic steps almost killed me. I was on step number two when their cheap pop-rivets holding the step gave away. I was lucky and learned a lesson.
