I learned that lice are becoming resistant to OTC chemical treatments and I wanted them GONE! The smell was quite nice although there is a very slight funky wet dog smell under the minty smell, but when you have bugs living in your child's hair, who cares! The serum is thick and is super slick so it's easy to comb out after the steps that involve the mousse. It's pretty drippy, so make sure to cover the floor of your workspace with an old towel. If any serum gets onto the floor it makes it slick even after you wipe it up. I don't have any experience with other combs but this one does the job removing even the tiniest bugs. It took more than 3 washes to get all of the serum and mousse out, but my daughter's hair and scalp was left soft and shiny and itch-free!
