Cannot do without this now
This is an excellent product. Sturdy, efficient and easy to use. Also, easy to see in the drawer, being green. It is a butch piece of equipment, but even I can use it. I used to have the usual cheap reamer type of citrus juicer, but my hands get sore and messy using this. Then I bought an electronic whole fruit and vegetable juice extractor. This wasn't a success as not much juice is produced, but a lot of pulpy mess is to clean up. I have seen the Chef'n citrus juicer being used by Guy Fiery on The Food Channel TV in the Guy's Best Bites programme, and he reckons he has loads of them all around his kitchen, but then he is a chef. I didn't know that I could get this product in this country. I am so pleased it is here. You may think it is expensive, but I am sure it will last a long time as it is so well made. It gets used every day and if it did break I would have to buy another one immediately. My husband has taken over the lemon squeezing duty, as he can squeeze more juice out than me. It seems wrong, but it is right to put the cut end down into the cup and then squeeze, but my husband discovered that you can get more juice if you turn the squeezed lemon over and squeeze it again. One small problem is that a little juice leaks from the sides of the juicer, so it is best to use over a wide rimmed jug rather than trying to squeeze directly into a glass. Also it needs a deep drawer to store it.

It would be hard to beat this
For most of our lives we've suffered from flimsy juice pressers. They break. When we were on vacations in New Orleans nearly a decade ago, we went to a bar and saw the barman using one of these. It was impressive. The barman told us that he'd bought it himself because it was so much better than the average. We bought one when we got home. We've had if for nine years and it's excellent. It really makes squeezing lemons and limes easy because it has a long fulcrum and you can apply a lot of pressure on the lemon. It's very robust which means it's not likely to break. It's probably the best kitchen utensil we have. Of course, it is more expensive than most other squeezers, but you save money over time (no need to replace flimsy models so frequently). However, it is rather large and takes up more cupboard space that simpler models. It's also easy to clean.

Sturdy, practical juicer
This was yet another purchase in my quest to find the perfect juicer. This juicer is pricey, but it's very sturdy and attractive, it can go in the dishwasher, and it juices lemons and limes in a flash. I'm still not entire sure what direction you're supposed to put the cut citrus fruits into the juicer (cut side down seems counterintuitive, but cut side up tends to make juice spurt out of the top of the juicer instead of the bottom), but I use this a lot in the kitchen anyway and I'm pleased with it.

Professional Juicer
This lime juicer is top quality. It is very effective at squeezing the juice from limes and keeping the pulp separate. The amount of juice obtained per lime is much greater than with other methods. The materials are solid, quality and built to last. Cleaning the product is so quick and easy. A must have for every kitchen.

Best lime squeezer ever!
This has to be the easiest, fastest and most efficient way to squeeze limes. We use a lot of limes and it has been, up to now, a slow and torturous process. The ratchet mechanism powers down onto the lime halves and you have juice. Far more juice than squeezing any other way. This is probably one of my favourite kitchen tools - it's certainly one of the most efficient. If I was rating it out of ten.... It would score ten.

Well designed - looks good, sturdily built. and it really gets the juice out quickly.
I cook a lot of Mexican food and I also like the occasional Margarita. That means I get through a lot of limes. Previously I've used one of the reamer style juicers - they work well but they're messy and you can't separate out any pips. The Freshforce Citrus Juicer is better than the reamer - you cut your fruit in half, pop it in the indented cup of the juicer, then squeeze the handles together. The juice falls through perforations in the cup area and all but the smallest pips are held there. My big worry with this juicer, in advance of receiving it, was whether it would be sturdily constructed. It is. I can't see it developing any stress breakages on the hinge, or elsewhere, in a long while. I gave it a proper running in on New Year's Eve. 30 limes were turned into a litre of lime juice in about 20 minutes, without suffering from an aching arm or sticky fingers. One caveat - its sturdiness means that it's not a small item. The arms in particular are quite bulky, so be aware that it will take up quite a bit of cupboard / drawer space.

5 Star Juicer!
Seems strong, well-designed, aesthetically pleasing, does what it's supposed to do with the minimum of effort & easy to clean too. Can't really say more. If you're looking for an efficient lime/lemon juicer, buy this one.

I am torn about whether to keep this juicer or return it. On the positive side, there are no alarming negative reviews, and one reviewer even described it as being “built like a tank.” At first glance, I can understand why. It looks solid, has some weight to it, and the design is exactly what I was searching for. The lever mechanism actually provides the pressure needed to properly squeeze citrus, unlike many traditional handheld squeezers that never extract enough juice without turning the fruit and repeating a few more times. However, here is the big surprise and the reason I am hesitating: almost the entire unit is made of injection-moulded plastic. The hinge, the hinge gearing, and the handle are all plastic. The only metal component is the central pressing plate! :( The plastic is well finished and convincingly resembles metal, so it is easy to assume the construction is more robust than it actually is. I even had to double-check because of the weight and appearance. But once you realize it is plastic, the long-term durability becomes questionable, especially for parts that take constant stress during use. This is frustrating because the design itself is excellent. I spent a long time searching for a lever-style juicer that could generate real pressure, and this one almost gets everything right. If it were made primarily of metal, I would happily pay more for it. The manufacturer saved a lot of money making this out of plastic, rather than metal. Right now I am left wondering whether the performance is enough to justify keeping something that will not hold up over time.

I can recommend this lemon squeeze to anyone. It's sturdy and very practical. The only thing that's missing is maybe a sort of an eye-hook at the end of one of the handles to hang the item.

Reviewing the orange coloured Chef'n FreshForce Juicer. This thing is quite a bit larger than the yellow and green ones, most of the pics here don't quite do it justice. You can make drinks, then use it to fend off wild animals or defend your home. In all seriousness, I already had the yellow lemon sized one, and decided to upgrade to the larger orange. Lots of power, very large cup will accommodate oranges to at least average sized grapefruits, but will also handle a lime with no trouble at all. It's very sturdy so you can give it a good press to get out as much juice as possible. Tag says it is dishwasher safe on TOP RACK, but given past experience with kitchen gadgets of many different kinds, I'd always hand wash to ensure the metal doesn't tarnish (something about dishwashers can cause this). Not the easiest thing to clean, but it's not bad either, just have to have the patience to really get into all of the nooks and crannies of the mechanism to remove any gunk. It's not cheap, but it seems like it will last a long time, and will now cover pretty much any sized fruit I want to juice. No need to keep smaller ones around, as again, this will do limes quite well too. I'm loving it so far.
