Is it legal to flare 3/8 gas lines for wall mount heaters or furnaces with this tool?

To the question “is it legal?” ... you would have to scour your state and city codes to find a place where it expressly mentions not flaring with this method or manufacturers tool .. I highly doubt you will find that but stranger things have happened ... to speak to the functionality of the joint itself .. it will work but you will need to use some joint lubricant and you will find it very difficult to pull the flare nut over the copper flare because the spin tool tends to stretch the copper which has the effect of increasing the outer diameter(OD).. the flare nut is usually manufactured very close to copper OD . Hope this helps ..

can flaring copper 0.56mm/0.61mm??

Not sure you have correct pipe size if .56mm is .022 in. That is very small. Smallest size is ~ 6mm

45 degree, foe standard SAE plumbing and hvac fittings

How is the swagging tool different from the flaring tool? The specs on each say the same thing

The flaring tool creates a flare to create a seal using a flare nut. The swagging tool swags the tube- expanding it to allow another piece of tube to be soldered into it.

Good intentions but

Bought this for a mini-split thinking it would be fast and easyNo such luck ,to many variables1st drill has to a high speed drill ,1800RPMs or more2nd you have to be dead on level and straightThese 2 items have to be made to get proper flare not to mention the copper tubing gets extremely hot while usingIf your not careful you’ll get a bad flare and a bad burn3rd the price for this is extremely highTo me it’s wasn’t worth itSent it backBut hey, if you think you can do the the 2 items to get flare without burning yourself and can afford itKnock yourself out, might work for you
