This stuff really works. I brush my Pomeranian's teeth every night and she hasn't had to get a teeth cleaning from the vet for 5 years now. She even likes the taste.

My dogs can’t wait to get their teeth brushed each night. And this makes their teeth very clean and white. I don’t understand how this is supposed to last multiple months. I use a half tube per dog per month, which gets pricey. Would rate 5 stars if it weren’t so expensive.

I honestly can't believe how well this stuff works! I adopted a dog that they said was 2 years old but I swear his teeth looked at least 5. They were slimy and had a good deal of tartar up top so I was concerned. I figured I'd try this even though I thought it was very expensive. Well it goes a long way so forget the price it's well worth it. And wow does it work! After just a couple of applications I can see and feel a huge difference. I don't even brush them I just rub it around his teeth. I am extremely happy with this product! Definitely recommend!

Love the VOHC cert and the double enzyme. Works better than the prior brand I used with just one enzyme. The pups seem to like it better as well.

My vet recommended this toothpaste as it is VOHC approved. It has been effective in keeping tartar at bay. I brush my pups' teeth daily. I put a little on my finger and thumb and rub it on their teeth and gums. The doctor even suggested putting some on their chew toys for added effectiveness. So far, we have seen no intestinal issues (vomit or loose stools). Sophia, Maiya, and Lexi think it's a treat. They obviously like the flavor. AND it freshens their breath! Doggy kisses are pleasant! Highly recommend!

We're the type of folks that like to "brush" our dogs' teeth using our finger. Had another dog toothpaste that the dogs loved. But, read up on it, and it apparently wasn't very good to use for finger-brushing. Searched on dog toothpastes, and this was rated high on vet sites for finger brushing and dogs loving the taste. We get it.. the toothpaste comes out like lard, and has about the same smell. IE: it barely smells, but the smell you do pick up is not meat/beef/london broil.. it's almost waxy or lardish. Let the dogs smell it. They didn't care for it. Put some on finger and brushed their teeth. They didn't like the taste. The toothpaste seemed to work ok, but I have to fight the dogs to brush their teeth now. A good toothpaste that's hard to use is worse that a so-so toothpaste that the dogs love us using. So, we'll just switch back to the other brand.

Have used other toothpastes in a pinch, but will always come back to this one for my dog. He loves the taste and it works! Can see why it's approved by the VOHC. Worth every penny and it lasts AGES. This paste doesn't smell of anything really - Definitely no overwhelming fake meat smells to contend with. Must taste good as my dog will eat it from the tube. Non foaming. Not abrasive. Apparently the formula works just from the pets licking it, so you could alternatively smear a pea sized amount on a toy if you really can't get a good scrub on. Note: No toothpaste is going to be able to remove well established thick plaque from teeth. Only a dental scale and polish from a veterinarian will do that. Overall, what I can say is that from firsthand experience, my dog is now three and I've used this once every few days in one form or another (actually brushing his teeth or having him just lick it) since he was a pup and his teeth are spotless.

I have tried absolutely everything to clean my dogs' teeth - additives to their water, additives to food, chew bars, finger cleaners, other toothpastes etc. Nothing worked and they were starting to show brown tarter round their insisors. I was originally reluctant to try this because it is expensive but I read Veterinary dental reviews and decided to give it a go as I don't want my dogs being anaesthetised to have their teeth scraped. So glad I did. This paste is fantastic. After daily brushing for just over a week there is hardly any trace of tarter on their teeth. One dog is reluctant, doesn't like it but it does say this stuff continues to work when mixed with the dog's saliva. Highly recommend this. O ordered London Broil Flavour

This toothpaste really works! My dog’s breed tends to have tooth problems and when I realized that she was getting a build up of black tartar on her teeth, it was time to do something. For the last three weeks, I have brushed her teeth daily and the black on her teeth has been steadily going away. This isn’t a quick fix but it’s really helping! I’ll also say that my dog loves the taste and it doesn’t have a strong smell, so I’m thrilled to have found something that actually worked and that my dog enjoys. Finally, while it’s expensive, I can see the value as I have hardly made a dent in the bottle after nearly a month. I will be buying it again!

Ich nutze die Petsmile Zahnpasta nun schon seit einiger Zeit für meinen Hund. Man sollte kein Wunder erwarten, im Sinne von "der Zahnstein verschwindet von selbst", aber das Produkt ist eine enorme Erleichterung für die mechanische Reinigung. Meine Routine und Erfahrung: - Anwendung: Ich putze die Zähne meines Hundes mindestens alle zwei Tage mit einer sehr weichen Zahnbürste. - Wirkung auf den Zahnstein: Die Paste verhindert die Neubildung von Zahnstein zwar nicht komplett, aber sie verändert die Beschaffenheit der Ablagerungen massiv. Der Zahnstein bleibt deutlich weicher. - Manuelle Reinigung: Etwa einmal pro Woche entferne ich den angesammelten, weichen Zahnstein ganz einfach mit einem Gaze-Fingerling. Das funktioniert in dieser Kombination hervorragend, da der Belag nicht verhärtet und sich ohne großen Druck lösen lässt. - Akzeptanz: Da der Geschmack dem Hund gefällt, ist die Prozedur alle zwei Tage völlig stressfrei. Fazit: In meinem Fall funktioniert die Zahnpasta als "Weichmacher". Wer bereit ist, die Zähne regelmäßig zu bürsten und einmal pro Woche den weichen Belag manuell nachzubearbeiten, bekommt hiermit die Zahngesundheit seines Hundes sehr gut in den Griff. Für diese effektive Unterstützung vergebe ich gerne 4 Sterne.
