Listen everyone, everybody is going to have a different experience with this camera, but for me, this has been one of the best dash cams for capturing accidents and protecting yourself on the road.I was actually in a situation where another driver lied about what happened as soon as the cops showed up. Long story short, situations like that are exactly why having a good dash cam is so important. The camera doesn’t lie, and having clear footage can save you a lot of headaches.For the price, I think the AZDOME is an excellent value. The video quality is there, it’s easy to navigate, and you get GPS, voice commands, 3-channel recording, and plenty of other useful features. Having front, rear, and interior coverage gives me extra peace of mind whenever I’m driving.I also installed the entire system myself, and it came out great. Once everything is set up properly, it’s easy to use and doesn’t require much attention you can just drive and let the cameras do their job.I personally recommend using a 256GB high-endurance microSD card so you have plenty of storage for your recordings.Overall, I’m very happy with this dash cam and would definitely recommend it, especially if you want good coverage and useful features without spending a fortune. After my own experience on the road, I wouldn’t want to drive without a dash cam again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I’ve purchased several AZDOME products over the years and have had a great experience with them. The M550 Max is an excellent dash cam with great video quality, useful features, and everything I need for everyday driving.Out of the many AZDOME products I’ve purchased, I unfortunately received one that had a defect. What really impressed me was how AZDOME handled it. Their customer service was extremely responsive, helpful, and willing to make things right. They worked with me throughout the issue and made the replacement process easy.One defective unit can happen with any electronics company, but the way a company responds says a lot. AZDOME absolutely stood behind their product, and their service gave me even more confidence buying from them in the future.I use AZDOME products in multiple cars and regularly recommend them to friends and family. Great product, great value, and genuinely excellent customer service. Highly recommend the M550 Max and AZDOME!

I purchased the Azdome M550 Max for my 2018 Ford Fusion, and overall, I’m impressed with its 4K video quality, night vision, and reliable recording. However, I’ve encountered one major issue: The front camera captures too much of the sky, buildings and top of the cars instead of focusing on the road ahead.The Problem is despite multiple repositioning attempts, the camera’s field of view remains too high. My Ford Fusion’s steep windshield angle seems to be the culprit. I have been using two of these for several years now different vehicles and two different Rove R2 cams (older single & now a new Rove2 Pro dual). They are reasonably priced so I put one mount in my work truck and one in my personal vehicle. This allowed me to easily unplug and slide the cam out of my personal vehicle in the mornings and put it in the work truck and transfer back at the end of the day. Saved from having to purchase two separate cams however I did pick up a second shorter USB cord for the temp work truck mounting. Cord was perm. installed in personal vehicle. This clamp mount was also super easy to remove from the work truck when it went in for service (so it would not disappear), or into new truck, etc. It is metal with plastic adapters with a rubber cushion so it does not scratch the mirror post yet holds very securely with two wing nuts. I like that it can also be adjusted further up behind the mirror than some for a more stealthy install since the Rove cameras are more block shaped that I do not care for. They include several adapters and one of them worked perfectly to slide the Rove cam into it. I have since upgraded to a newer Rove R2 Pro dual cam and also a new personal vehicle. This same mount fit and everything transferred perfectly although I did have to purchase a new wire kit as well. I do not like using self stick tapes as the heat we have here in AZ literally makes any of them useless and unless you actually live here for some time most cannot understand how our extreme heat literally destroys everything. I also wanted a removable option and this mount is perfect for what I needed. I would highly recommend this mount over any others I have seen especially for a Rove2.

Update: I'm going to throw this dash cam in the garbage and try something else. I can rarely access the videos and the dash cam frequently insists that I re-format the micro SD card. If I don't re-format the card, the dash cam doesn't store any videos at all. The app is terrible and not user friendly. The screen on this dash cam is also so small you can't possibly read anything on the screen while you're in the driver's seat. Useless garbage. In the trash it will go.I have yet to find a dashcam that actually checks all the boxes, and this one doesn't do anything any better than others. I tried a different brand in a previous vehicle and they are comparable. On this Azdome M550, the screen is so incredibly tiny that the text is much too small to use while driving. I purchased the OBDII wiring kit with this dashcam and that caused the camera to continulously cycle power on and off every couple of minutes while driving. I will try a standard hardwire kit next so I can have park monitoring and hopefully it will supply consistent power while driving.Overall this dash camera is a little too small to interact with while driving, but it is a typical dashcam. Hopefully one day there will be some dashcam that sets the standard for great picture quality and ease of use. This is just middle of the road. Nothing great and nothing particularly bad. The included direction manual was severly lacking and the app for the phone is also terrible. It's also disappointing that the rear camera does not include any way to affix the camera in the rear window - it is intended to be installed externally. If you want to install it in your rear window, you need to purchases an accessory mounting tab to stick the camera in your rear window. Since I have a Jeep Gladiator, I want to install the camera in the rear window and that means purchasing an extra accessory in order to use the rear camera. That should have been included with the dashcam, but they prefer to sell it as an extra item.Overall, I would not buy this brand again, but I may leave it in my vehicle until I see a dashcam company develop something that sets itself apart from the massive sea of mediocre Chinese dashcams.

I had my first AZDOME M550 Max dashcam for several months and was extremely impressed with the video quality and security of having it in my vehicle. However, I had some issues with the display unit having some lines in it. I reached out to AZDOME customer service and they were OUTSTANDING! From the beginning, Melody helped me diagnose that the unit was defective and with no problem, AZDOME replaced the unit free of charge. Shipping was fast and I was back up and videoing in no time! I want to thank Melody again for all of her help and I hope others are just as satisfied with AZDOME'S product and support service.

I like the simplicity of installation, which I did myself. The hardest part is running the wiring so that it is completely hidden behind paneling or weather stripping. Definitely recommend buying plastic pry tools to assist in getting panels and weather stripping up. One tool is provided but for my car, having larger pry tools made the job easier. I also opted to purchase an OBD power cable because my wife did not want the provided 12 volt plug sticking out of her center console. Due to the location of the 12 volt accessory plugin in the car, I had to agree that running the power cable to the OBD port under the dash made for a shorter and much cleaner installation.The rear camera is designed to be mounted outside on the rear of the car. But I didn't want to put holes in the car or glue it to the paint, so I mounted it in the rear window. (purchased the optional mounting bracket) Just be careful if you have defrost lines, to mount the rear camera where they are not in view, or the camera will focus on them and the quality of the vieo will be degraded. Also be sure to put the provided clear plastic film between the window and the camera so you don't risk damaging the defrost lines if decide to move or remove the rear camera.My wife decided she did not want the interior camera, so I just unplugged it an stored it in the box. If we decide to reinstall the interior camera it's just a matter of plugging it back in and the camera automatically sees it and adjusts the resolution. Another benefit of removing the interior camera is that it increases the the front camera from 2k to 4k resolution.All in all, I like the small size of the camera, that it can be controlled from both the screen and the phone app, that it's very flexible in the number of cameras you can choose to use, has high resolution and and is easy to manage.

originally I wrote a good review. It was good till it broke down a year later. It keeps restarting so just going to throw it away. I tried different cards. I reset it. I updated the firmware. Still restarting. I bought for over 1000 dirhams. Not worth it.

The Dash Camera Mirror Mount Holder Kit is a huge improvement and does not require a suction cup, or adhesive mount to the windshield. It mounts directly to the rear view mirror mount. Very stable and won't come off in high temperatires.
