Some have criticized this book… but…
Some have criticized this book as being a second rate printing job. While it’s true that it is a value engineered reissue, it works perfectly as the informative tool that it is. Excellently Written
I loved the fact that this book is so thorough. Having been using Nikon digital cameras since the D70, I already had a good idea how everything worked. The book was perfect to bring me up to speed on the new software and camera controls. I read the book first, then I got the camera and compared the suggestions with my own shooting style (I shoot professionally) and then made the adjustments. Definitely would recommend.

Perfectly readable reissue of First Addition
Just received my copy of this edition. I've used other books by David Busch, and so I know the content will be helpful and comprehensive. My purpose in posting this review is to reassure that the paper it is printed on is just fine, and the photographs are clear for what they need to convey. No need for anguish over unavailability of First Edition. In fact, I prefer this publication, since it is A LOT lighter than the Cengage publication and will be easier to use and annotate.

Comprehensive, easy-to-follow Nikon D750 guide
If you own or will own a Nikon D750 camera, you need this book. Period. For those many who could not find the original guide, the Fast Track Guide is the same book, reprinted by a different publisher. It's indispensable if you want to make the most of a complex camera that can deliver outstanding images and video, but has new or improved or unfamiliar features that require research. Busch unlocks the mysteries with time-saving, easy to follow explanation. One of the beauties of Busch's manuals (I've had several) is that they relate new or improved features with sound, familiar photographic technique. The D750 Fast Track Guide is wonderfully organized and easily referenced. It's made for everyone, with bonus Appendixes for review and new learning, yet mostly aimed at the more experienced photographer. I highly recommend the D750 Fast Track Guide for all D750 users.

Everything I Expected ... Except One.
This appears to be a rather exhaustive and easy to grasp manual. I've been a Nikon user for seven or so years and am somewhat familiar with them. Nonetheless, this book is helping me fine-tune my use of the camera. The one thing I refer to and I have found nobody on YouTube and nowhere in any printed material a word about saving Auto ISO as part of camera setup to either of the Custom User options. Will it or won't it? I'm having issues on this point.

Lower quality than his other books
I have Davids book for the D7000 which I assume was from his old publisher. Cover and pages a nice semi-gloss paper stock, pictures are bright and look like pictures. Received the reprint of the D750 and am VERY disappointed. The information may be there, but the quality of the printing is very substandard. The cover and pages are on a rough, matte paper. All of the photos are washed out and lack detail. There are examples where you are supposed to compare 2 or more pictures to each other, yet due to the quality, it is very difficult to see any difference. It is like they disassembled the original book, photocopied it, and printed from that For the price point on this book, I expected more. Normally if I got a book like this, it would go back, but since you cannot get the original except for a completely ridiculous price, guess I am stuck since I like the material. Don't get me started on Wordery's shipping. 14 days for shipping within the US? Rediculous.

Comprehensive and reasonably clear
Digital Cameras have so many options that to really learn the camera in and out, you'd have to spend a month reading about it before shooting. Of course, the best way to learn a camera is to shoot it and try to apply what you just read (if you can remember it) The book gives it a good try; a few errors here and there but if the Nikon Manual is impossible to read, this is much better.

You need this Book!
I am migrating from a D90 to a D750 and found this book, recommended by the sales clerk at the camera shop, to be a highly readable study guide to getting practical application for the wide range of features of the D750. It gave me lots to learn, but I have studied it for hours on end and learn more each time I pick it up. Best camera book I've ever read.

Not as good as origanal
Not as good as original but first gen is almost impossible to get. paper quality questionable but you still get the valuable information that David Busch gives you, it is nicely written and you find things that you never thought your camera could do. If I purchase a new camera I always try to get a book by this author as I think he is one of the best.

Comprehensive technical information
The book uncovers all the little secrets of the Nikon D750, no question there. Regrettably the book is put together cheaply, using very thin paper and colors that sometimes make it hard to read. I'm wondering if my copy is an actual proper edition or a knock-off...
