Dream watch, well worth it

If you have long head hair: can get caught in bracelet, annoying. That said the bracelet makes it so quick to put on and off it's really convenient.Really nice display in bright/medium light. In dim or low light, you won't be able to see it at all, until you press the backlight button... Telling time is now a 2hand job. Not always annoying, just occasionally. I take it to gigs and dark venues, so that I can press the backlight button and see the time in the dark.Small watch and not heavy, you can forget it's on your wrist.Annoying FLAW1: stopwatch only goes to 1hour.Annoying FLAW2: backlight button is also the split timer button. If you want to check the stopwatch and it's not very bright, you would press backlight, and the display will freeze. (The colon will continue blinking so you know it's not paused) Until you press backlight/split again.From the main clock view, the right button switches between 24hr and 12hr. Very occasionally this gets pressed without my realising, but to help you avoid a mistake there is both a 24hr marker and a PM marker: so you know which view you're looking at.My favourite thing is seeing 0:00 with the backlight on.

This Casio A168WE is a lovely looking watch. It’s very light and comfortable to wear, the strap is simple to adjust (no tools required) and the watch is easy to set up - same as other Casio watches of this type (A168, F91W etc) if you’re familiar with those. The teal coloured face surround really brings the piece to life, it’s vibrant and can look different depending on the viewing angle and available light. The functions are typical Casio - time, date, stopwatch plus a full-face backlight which is far superior to the F91W type side lights. I don’t find the strap pulls the arm hairs at all and the overall watch size is better suited to small and medium wrists. It fits well under a shirt cuff so is good for both smart and casual wear. The construction is silver coloured plastic rather than metal which I’m fine with at this price point and it makes wearing it almost unnoticeable. This is quite simply a fantastic looking watch.

I bought it for my 14 year old son and he is very happy.

Love the look of the black screen with the contrasting numbers, but it is so hard to read the time on when in anything less than bright light. There is a light, of course, but this only stays on when you hold the button, and because the button is on the left of the face it is awkward to light without obscuring the screen...Maybe I'm just not the target market, but returning it for a standard black numbers on neutral background display.
