Incredible Scope at an Incredible Price
The FX1000 (MRAD) in 6X-24X is awesome. Mounted it on a Savage Model 110 in 6.5 Creedmoor. Got it zero'd in 5 shots. Proceeded to shoot 5 rounds into a single ragged hole at 100 yards (using Hornady Match 140 Grain ELD rounds) from a Caldwell Lead Sled. Will be taking it out to 300 yards from a bipod this coming Saturday. Glass is crystal clear, all controls are very positive, illumination feature is a great benefit for shooting at dusk. Beyond the superb quality is the price from Amazon/Europtics. I paid $529.95 (free shipping as a Prime member). Here are other online prices from big sellers for the exact same model as of today (12/09/19): - Sportsmans Guide $759.99 - Bass Pro/Cabelas $649.97 - Optics Planet $759.95 - Nikon Website $759.95 - SWFA $799.95 (On Backorder) - Brownells $759.95 You simply cannot go wrong by getting this model scope from Amazon/Europtics. At a minimum, you'll save $120 Update as of 12/22/19 - Went to the range yesterday and can't say enough good about this optic. Went from a warm car to 15 degrees F with absolutely no fogging. Was zeroed for 100 yards. Because it was a grey day and getting toward sundown, I used the illumination feature on the reticle and that enhanced my ability to get on target. Shot at steel plates at both 200 and 300 yards. Used the click values and holdovers from Nikon's Spot On Ballistics app and achieved first-round hits on both targets. Then went 5 for 5 at 300 yards on decreasing size plates (18", 12", 10", 8", and 6"). I used the recommended click values from the ballistics app, and it was, well, Spot-On! Great optic at a Great Price! Update 01/01/20....Scope continues to deliver. I hit a 2" plate (yep, TWO inches) at 300 yards with 75 grain Hornady Match ammunition - went 3 for 3, then stopped while I was ahead. Only downside is that I see the price on Amazon is now $759. I got it for $230 less, but don't let the current price stop you. It is still an incredible value. And with Nikon getting out of the rifle scope business, they may go down in price again....Matt W Final update 02/16/20....Moved scope to a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor (full disclosure - I put the Ruger action inside an after-market MAGPUL Hunter's Stock). Trying out different hand-loads from a friend. Using a specific batch, the rifle and Nikon FX1000 delivered a 0.254" group at 100 yards. Many groups were less that 1 MOA. Too bad that Nikon is getting out of the rifle scope business....Get one of these while you can!!!

Better than some more expensive scopes - no proof of purchase in the box
I got the Mrad version. I was able to zero the rifle in at 100 yds in three shots. The turrets seem to repeat well. It has good eye relief and good glass. I need to do more long range shooting with it before I can comment further. I like the fact that it came with lens caps and a sun shade extender. If it performs as well as my other Nikon products, I'll be happy, happy, happy. I tried to log on to the Nikon website to register the product, but it kept sending me to a page that said it was "for sale" and had some other links to other Nikon products. I don't know what's up with that. The Nikon instructions say you will need proof of purchase and the included warranty card if you ever need service. I DID NOT receive any proof of purchase in the box from the Amazon vendor. Update: After having the scope 10 months now, it has grown on me. I have encountered a couple other scopes that I liked mildly better for one reason or another, but they also cost twice as much or more. I also encountered other scopes that cost more but weren't as good as this one. After making hundreds of long-range shots, some greater than 600 yds, this scope still tracks true and is dead on the money. The glass is still clean and clear. You can buy a better scope than this, but it will cost you A LOT more money, and it still won't be that much better.

Excellent Scope!!!!
I was very impressed with the Nikon's P-Tac and M-Tac scopes (both mounted on CZ455's) and wanted to get a premium scope for my newly built .223 Wylde SPR for 50m-600m shooting. I did a lot of research and shopping around, and I highly recommend others to do the same. I decided on this model because it satisfies all my needs and preferences. This scope is not designed for shots inside 50m, so keep that in mind. Return to zero is perfect, glass is better than my eyes, and reticle is crisp. I wanted to test the accuracy/consistency of the Mil Dials, so I put a target at 100m and set the rifle in a led sled. 1st 3 rounds fired at zero, dialed up 30 clicks and fired 3 more rounds. Group one was 1.65cm on target, and next group was 1.42cm almost exactly 30 cm higher (center to center, Fed Match 77gr BTHP). I pulled the target before checking for vertical alignment, but it looked straight in the field. All in all, worth every penny, I love this scope, and look forward to moving into the long range target shooting game!

Best Buy for that type of scope and price range.
Love it. Cross hair is a little thick for long range 1000 yards but does good. Handle 200 rounds of 300 win mag no problem. Tracking is good out to 500 so far. Measuring with moa is accurate. As clear as or slightly better than the viper and veracity (tested side by side) but not a NF. Illuminated retical isn’t needed for me but is set up nice with off between each setting. Kinda bright on lowest setting so you don’t have a good picture of your target in late evening. Setting zero is ok just like most of the rest. First focal plane which I prefer if shooting beyond 300 yards. Great scope and honestly the best Nikon has come up with. Price is on par for what it is and cheaper than viper. Roughly 2.5 moa at 500 yards so far with this setup. Also used Nikon 1 piece precision base med height. Liked that too. In process of replacing two others with this scope.
