Great laser/light for cost and convenience
Overall easy install, functional, great looking. Pro's: -Easy to install -Looks great and bright. Laser is nice as well. Con's: -When installed, it won't fit in some holsters at that point. Hopefully yours has an adjustable clip, mine did and did not have a problem moving forward. -Pressing the laser/light button is tough with one hand, use two hands on the gun then press it. It takes a bit of pressure when pressing. I think after a few 100 presses it should get easier. Some say, problem with screws and stripping. I found taking your time and using the supplied hex tool it worked fine. Just take your time and be sure the screws are hand twisted before you start using the wrench for sure. Install is very easy - Just take out three screws, put one side one, put the other side on snug and fit, then replace the screws. IMPORTANT: Screws are small and thin so be sure to get a small cup/bowl to catch them if they fall so you don't lose them in a crevice or in the deep realm of carpeting or similar. If you lose one, you may have troubles or shipping wait to receive more.

Tactical light / laser combo that fits like a glove!
I was looking for an affordable laser light for my Smith & Wesson M&P Shied. I found this and had some doubts as to whether it look as smooth and seamless as it does in the pictures, and if it was, how difficult would the installation process be. The bonus was the it was both a laser and a light, which I love! When I got it it took me all of about 3 mintues to install it. The directions were easy to read and installation was simple enought that anyone should be able to do it. Bonus points for the fact that the allen wrench needed was included with the product packaging. Once it was installed it was perfectly seamless and looks very slick. There is a button on both sides to accomodate both left and right handed operators. The button is well positioned so that you do not have to adjust your grip to activate the light or laser. The one drawback is that in order to switch from light to laser, you have to press both side buttons at the same time, which you cannot do easily if you are actively utitilzing the device. The light and laser are both plenty bright enought. The light is bright enough to easily light of a dark room, and the laser can be seen in daylight without difficulty. It cost jsut over $100, which is actually cheaper than most comparable devices that do not look or fit as well as this less expensive one. I have had it for nearly a year now and have not had to change the battery so far and have not had any issues.

Great for home defense if your vision isn't great
Having a light on your home defense weapon is always a plus, and this light has the option of leaving the light on by pressing the button quickly then releasing, or holding it down continuously for light then releasing (after a longer period, can't remember the specs but about one second or more) and the light will shut off. Easy to toggle between the modes of light, light plus laser, or just laser. My vision sucks so I wear glasses most of the time so if something or someone comes into my room I can easily get the light/laser combo on and (with training) feel good about putting shots on target. With that, if you have crappy vision like me, make sure you talk to whoever you're living with about action plans if you have an intruder and come up with a "safe word" so you don't accidentally shoot someone who's not a threat. Also, the last two times I went to the range I put about 200 rounds through my shield each time. After each trip I needed to clean the front of the light from all the buildup it gathered for how it sits pretty much flush with the barrel of the gun. I use this as my EDC too so I picked up a few kydex holsters that fit the shield plus my light. Tolster easily was the best. Great turnaround (thanks prime) and I like the way it fits the weapon better as well (Inside the waistband). I waited on two other kydex holsters for 7 weeks and wasn't nearly as impressed (checkout the Tolster shield 9mm + tlr6 review for those details). I don't get paid for any of these recommendations so while I might sound like a fanboy, I'm just giving you my honest opinion. All said and done this light/laser combo looks SO clean on my shield and I haven't lost any control in my grip because of it either. I highly recommend it and I hope this review helps as you sort through your options!

UPDATE
I initially disliked this until I received a replacement which worked and fit well. Installation was much easier this time. The laser and light work great and look good. I've left the review below, as it was an aggravating experience that I hope doesn't happen to someone else. Previous review listed below: The light and laser are strong and efficient. But installation is an absolute nightmare. First, I dropped the he'd key and it vanished. Of course, it's not a standard size (0.05") and I had to order a whole new set of hex wrenches as none of mine go that small. Next, when I took it apart to install, there are two sides, and then the flashlight is a piece itself that fits between the two. Except that when you take it apart the first time, the light never really sets right back in that original spot, and makes getting all three screws in impossible. I have, as of writing this, attempted install twice. Each time, I've gotten the front and upper screw easily installed, but then the bottom screwhole is bloated out and doesn't set, even when it's clamped together forcibly. Absolutely awful design, definitely won't be buying another one of these unless I can touch and feel it first. I'm sure when it's installed it's awesome! But installation has been absolutely awful, and I'm going to attempt one more time before filing for a return. Will update then. Update: Figured a way to get it installed, put in the batteries, no flashlight power. Laser stays on for about a second and flicks off by itself. I'm absolutely done with this sub-par laser accessory and am filing for a return right now. Completely unacceptable product quality. The plastic body easily chips and scratches just when installing as well, which means even if I got it attached, it would look super beat up and just overall bad.

Best Light for M&P Shield
The Streamlight TLR-6 is a compact powerhouse when it comes to weapon-mounted lights. I've been using it on my M&P Shield, and it has truly enhanced my firearm's capabilities and my overall shooting experience. The TLR-6 is incredibly easy to install and fits seamlessly on the M&P Shield, adding minimal bulk to the weapon. The light and red laser combination is a game-changer, providing illumination for low-light situations while allowing for precision aiming with the laser. The ambidextrous controls and the option to toggle between light-only, laser-only, or both, give you the versatility to adapt to various scenarios. The intense brightness of the light is perfect for target identification and personal defense. The TLR-6 has significantly boosted my confidence and accuracy when using my M&P Shield, making it an essential addition for anyone looking to enhance their self-defense capabilities. It's a reliable, compact, and potent accessory that I wouldn't want to be without.

Greatly improved point and Shoot Accuracy!
if you don’t have basic shooting skills this laser won’t make you a marksman. But if you have a handle on the basics you can definitely improve your accuracy from short distances in particular with point and shoot versus having to use your sights. I used this laser on an MP shield 3.1 barrel. Version 1.0 Cal Compliant. from about 5 yards and point and shoot only, I managed to shoot a tight group of about 2 inches, rapid fire. I shot better from a point and shoot versus using the sights. I did not make any laser adjustments though I did have to adjust the placement of the laser on the target as it seemed to shoot a couple of inches high. After adjustment I shot a very tight group. This is a far more economical solution versus trying to retrofit a red dot sight which probably would not be worth the money as this is really not a firearm for use much past 15 yards though I’m sure people may use it for that purpose. The shield in my opinion is for immediate short range self-defense and a laser sight adds to the effectiveness of this weapon. The laser site is easy to turn on with one’s right index finger and you can set which mode it defaults when you turn it on. I did not read the manual but if you are left-handed the default setting could be unreliable.

So far so good...
Review date: 8-25-24, Revision: A... My light is not used a lot. I've only had it for a while, 6 months. But the battery was dying. The symptoms was the flashlight went out but the Lazer kept working. The light worked fine if I shut the Lazer off. Bottom line. If you see this, behavior, than you need a new battery (two new, CR-1/3N, batteries actually). -------------------***************** Review date: 2-12-24, Revision: A... I have an original shield 9mm. And it fits on the trigger guard and uses the "proto rail," as a alignment point (there's no rail on the original shield). It fits fine. I noticed that you need to be careful to not strip the Allen hex, it's a very, very, tiny and so are the allen's threads (I read some, might had problems, with stripping, so I was extra careful). The light at 100 lumens is not all that bright, but they don't make a brighter one. Next up, go find a range, to sight it in. The down side, is not the lights fault, but all my old holsters, won't fit any more. So I have to buy new ones. I've already purchased a new iwb holster. But it really bums me out, that all my other holsters won't work anymore. In conclusion. I've wanted one of these lights with a laser, ever since I've owned my weapon. I hope it lasts and doesn't loose its alignment or other issues...
