R620/720? This is the one to get
OK buyer, home Network admin, plex server guy, or whatever kind of tech nerd you are. You have a Poweredge machine. It’s the one with the 3.5 inch bays in the front, this caddy does the trick. I believe it’s the same across the 400 600 & 700 machines so long as they have 3.5 inch bays. The things bolt up SSD’s HDD’s out of a usb enclosure, second hand SAS drives the works and they clip in as they should.

At this price point it's hard to complain, but you get what you pay for.
They're functional drive caddies. There isn't much to them. It's nice that they're a lot cheaper than other options. However, that cost reduction shows in the fact that the plastics warped a little when installing drives, because they were just barely not as wide as they should be, indicating poor manufacturing tolerances. Once the drives are screwed down, though, they work just fine and have no problems being taken in and out of the drive bays. The second problem is that the LEDs are way, way dimmer than the original Dell caddies. I got my hands on a server with 6 caddies and 2 blanks, so I bought 2 to fill it up. Side by side in a properly lit room, it's hard to tell that the LEDs are even lit at all. If that matters to you, I wouldn't recommend these. Given the price, I am willing to overlook these problems. I will be keeping these caddies as I don't see a need to get more expensive ones.
