The cream is a little bit heavy when you use it, it has no strong odor, however notice it works some how the spots are a little bit faded.

Palmers always makes a great product in my opinion. This one's no different. It's a retinol that doesn't irritate my skin. I use a moisturizer below and on top. It absorbs quickly but doesn't sit on the skin. It's helped with my fine lines quicker than other products I've used and the price point is unmatched. Great product,not a strong scent, will continue to use.

I like this cream but it takes a LONG time of consistent daily use to see any improvements. Unfortunately, this formula isn’t as effective as earlier formulations with hydroquinone, so it’s very slow going. It isn’t Palmer’s fault hydroquinone was banned in the U.S. (for OTC use) but I think Palmer’s should look at adding even more active ingredients targeting dark spots to make up for the lack of hydroquinone, such as tranexamic acid and maybe azelaic acid for tone-evening and redness. Palmer’s, please just find every active ingredient we can have for dark spots OTC and put them all in one cream. We need an effective (and at least somewhat) affordable all-in-one dark spot super cream. For context, I’ve been using Palmer’s Skin Success, Palmer’s Eventone, plus 11 other dark spot creams & serums, which I’ve been using consistently for 10 months to cover the different ‘super ingredients’ for a number of spots on my face, arms & legs that appeared over years from age/sun. I’m a fair-skinned white women, so mine didn’t suddenly appear due to a reaction, like what can happen with Black skin tones. Highly melanated individuals with sudden pigmentation changes due to an inflammatory autoimmune response may experience better or faster results than me for spots that aren’t ’set in.’ While it’s impossible to know which product(s) get the improvements, I do think the Palmer’s line is helping since, as the only affordable products in my routine, I use A LOT of them. It’s not sustainable to use $120 products on hands & legs daily for months on end. Higher-end stuff is prioritized for my face and rotated in more sparingly for the other areas.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I have been using this product for 2 days and can see a difference in the appearance of my skin. 40+ this does help with fine lines. I can already see my smile lines appearing less noticeable. A little goes a long way. You don't need to use a lot, or it will look like clown makeup, and you will have to work it in, but it is not a big deal. Also, if you have sensitive skin, I wouldn't buy a product clearly listed as extra strength. It will work as an extra strength product.

Initially I my skin reacted unkindly to the products and it caused me a lot of breakout, but I spaced out the usage and my skin adjusted really well to it. I now use it twice daily, and honestly, it’s been the best thing I ever purchased for my face. It’s brightening effects are so good and I started seeing and getting told of the results as soon as 1 weeks after I began using. That is, while I experience breakout, it was also brightening my skin. I also noticed a general improvement in both the tone and texture of my skin. It does have a drying feel, so you may want to pair it up with a hydrating cream or serum. I use the beauty of Joseon glow serum. Oh! My skin of so good and I can’t wait to make the next purchase. I noticed a hike in the price though… hopefully it comes down soon 🤭 so I can purchase
