The picture quality is sharp, the app is easy to use, and being able to move the camera around remotely gives you a much better view of the room than a fixed camera ever could.Setup was straightforward, and once connected, they’ve been reliable and easy to check from my phone. Having two of them makes it simple to cover more than one area without spending a fortune on a complicated security system.For the price, the quality and functionality are honestly hard to beat.Clear picture, easy setup, great coverage, and peace of mind without breaking the bank. I replaced my older Zmodo camera with the Tapo TP-Link camera after Zmodo added very annoying ads to their phone app that you can't bypass when opening their app. I switched to Tapo and I haven't looked back. The Tapo TP-Link camera works great. It has nice clear video and sound with Night vision, tilt and pan capability, and SD card storage. It is easy to use and is a fantastic value for the money. I already own two other stationary Tapo cameras that work great and I can now view any one of the 3 cameras on the Tapo phone app.

Excellent Features and Outstanding Value for the PriceI've used a number of indoor Wi-Fi cameras over the years, and these Tapo 2K Pan/Tilt cameras have been one of the better values I've come across. The 2K picture quality is sharp enough to clearly identify people, pets, and what's happening around the room, and the pan/tilt feature gives excellent coverage without needing to install multiple fixed cameras.Setup was straightforward using the Tapo app, and both cameras were connected and running within just a few minutes. I also like that they support local recording with a microSD card, so you're not forced into paying for a cloud subscription if you don't want one. Motion detection notifications have been timely, the night vision is clear, and the two-way audio is handy for checking in on family members or talking to pets while away.Another feature I appreciate is the ability to save preset viewing positions and quickly move the camera to different areas of the room. For anyone looking to monitor a baby, pets, or simply keep an eye on the house while away, these cameras offer a lot of flexibility for a very reasonable price.A couple of things to keep in mind: these are wired cameras, so you'll need a nearby power outlet, and they only connect to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks. Also, while local recording is available, you'll need to purchase a microSD card separately if you want continuous recording without subscribing to cloud storage.Bottom Line: For the price, this two-pack offers an impressive combination of image quality, reliable motion detection, useful pan/tilt capability, and easy setup. If you're looking for affordable indoor security cameras that don't require an ongoing subscription, these are an excellent choice.

These cameras are awesome! We used them to watch out kitties while out of town and they worked perfectly. Easy to setup. Excellent picture/video quality. Ability to pan and zoom is fantastic! I only wish they were a bit more bottom heavy or at least not tippable. When talking with the cats (daily check-ins, you know?! Haha), a couple love-rub-ons and they get knocked over. Our sitter made sure to put them back upright for us.

Great affordable option for indoor camera coverage. I would highly recommend. The reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars: on a couple other cameras I’ve used, I could hear the what the mic was picking up in the baby’s room at all times, even if I minimized their app or locked my phone. For whatever reason, for this camera, I have to keep the app open and on my screen to hear audio from the room, meaning my phone can’t be used for anything else unless I’m ok not hearing what’s going on in the baby’s room. I resolved the issue by using the camera app on my iPad so that I can still use my phone and keep audio from the room playing at all times. It’s a minor gripe, but still something that’s important to me and the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. Other than that, these cameras are super easy to use, easy to set up, video quality is good, and the app itself is pretty simple to use with many customization options (except what I mentioned above!)

Before purchasing these cameras, I kept a computer running Skype 24 hours a day so I could communicate with my cats in Mexico. They would come closer whenever they heard my voice, but the computer camera was stationary, so I could not follow them around their living area. The video quality also did not compare to the remarkably clear image provided by these Tapo cameras.I now have four cameras installed: one near the litter box, another in the room where they sleep, one in their play area, and another in the dining area. From New York, I can switch between cameras, move them around to view the different spaces, and clearly observe Camilo and Camila throughout the day and night.These cameras even helped me realize that Camilo was sick. Because the image was so clear, I noticed expressions and movements suggesting that he was in pain, so I reacted quickly and arranged for him to be taken to the veterinarian. We later discovered that Camila was also sick. For me, these are not merely security cameras; they are an essential way to monitor my cats’ health and well-being while living far away.The live video is much clearer than it may appear in the screenshots included with my review. The pan-and-tilt controls, night vision, and two-way audio allow me to find my cats, monitor them, and speak to them from another country. The cameras also help me stay connected with my parents, who are older adults. Although they cannot see me through the camera, I can see them clearly and talk with them.The app has been convenient and easy to use. For anyone who needs to care for pets or keep in touch with family members from a distance, these cameras can make an enormous difference. In my case, they have given me peace of mind and helped me feel much closer to the ones I love.

I love this camera!! I bought this because we have some family friends (kids/toddlers) who have been fighting a lot. I want to be able to keep an eye on everything even when we (the parents) retreat to another room while the kids play. I have only put one of these up (okay, I made my husband do it. Same difference. lol). I have it in the living room where the kids usually play.I absolutely love this camera! The picture is clear and it was sooooo easy to set up! We had it up and running in minutes. It comes with helpful guide stickers that make mounting it on the wall super easy (slap the sticker on the wall and it shows you exactly where to drill...note: make sure the line is horizontal. We accidentally did it vertically and had wonderful views of the ceiling.). Also, it comes with the screws and anchors for installation!The night vision is clearer than I expected and the alerts are pretty neat. They can tell you when someone is obstructing or messing with the camera. There's even a motion sensor mode, but I had to turn that off due to the ceiling fan. If you have a ceiling fan that you keep on...that's what the camera will focus on when people aren't making big movements. So I found it easier to just set the camera at one viewpoint. Speaking of viewpoints...adjusting the camera is super simple in the app. And I love the feature where you can program in a few preset viewpoints. Adjusting the camera is easy, but a little laggy, so having those angles I want already pre-programmed makes it easy to see the different spots the kids like to play in.I am also impressed with the clarity of the audio. You can use the "Talk" function, which is like a walkie talkie where you can just speak and when you let go of the button you can hear the other person again; or you can use the little phone icon which allows you to talk *and* hear at the same time. You don't have to shout on either end to be heard clearly.There's also a "privacy mode" so you can shut off the camera. I like that option because we are thinking of mounting it in my kid's room for when the other kids play up in her room....but I want her to understand that it isn't to violate her privacy and that she can turn it off when they aren't there.I have also installed the app across three devices to monitor the same camera and it works perfectly on all three. One on mine, my husband's, and my kid's ipad. It was so easy! Just use the same Login on all devices and now everyone can access it.I have an SD card on order so I can record, so I can't comment on that yet, but I will say that there the company provides a very useful list that tells you exactly which SD cards are compatible with the cameras.I will admit when I saw the price of thise camera, I was skeptical about the quality, but I decided to give it a try...and I'm so glad I did! I have only had one camera up for about a week, but the whole family has been impressed with it. I will post if there are any issues in the future, so if there are no updates...it's functioning fine! I am so impressed I'm planning on gifting a set of these to a friend with small kids to keep an eye on!I highly recommend these cameras!

I’m a huge fan of Tapo cameras and now have 7 C-120/121, 3 C211 and 1 C216. I’ve been wanting to try out Eufy, Kasa, Reolink but kept adding more Tapo based on my positive experiences. Plus, by keeping to one brand it’s easier maintaining them all in a single app.At some point I may consider PoE but these Wifi cameras have performed flawlessly with my fiber internet connection.So based on my 2+ month experience with Tapo cameras, here are my tips/suggestions:Exterior camera color:I realize that white is the most popular color and that’s what I bought initially but the problem with white is that it sticks out. Whether tabletop or wall/ceiling mounted a white camera is more easily noticed than a black one. Initially that would not be a concern for most people because they are looking primarily for functionality and white happens to look nice. However, once you get past the surveillance aspect and have visitors who notice the cameras and may feel uncomfortable that’s when you begin to think about ideal placement. And let’s be perfectly clear. Most folks have no interest in clandestine recordings. Our cameras are are for nighttime security and for when there’s no one present. When we are home we keep them in privacy mode. So where there’s a choice, seriously consider black cameras since they are easier to work with and offer more discreet placement options around decorations/plants etc.Invisible Nighttime IR:One of the best features of the C120 / C121 camera is the option to choose a night vision setting that completely eliminates the red dots or any other light that gives away the camera location at night. I believe there is only one other Tapo camera that features this option so if that’s important to you and especially if you are using it in a nursery this is the camera to get. To change the default night vision setting to invisible IR navigate to Video & Display under Device Settings and select Night Vision. Ensure Night Boost is selected and Click on Viewing Distance. There you will see two options: Near View and Far View. The default setting is Far View which shows the red dots at night. Instead, select Near View and the camera will switch to invisible infrared while still preserving excellent black/white night vision resolution.Notification Speed/Accuracy:Of the Tapo cameras I used I found that C120 / C121 performed the best. What amazed me the most was a there was a small sliver at the end of the driveway that I selected in the camera's detection zone and it sensed motion from nearly 50 feet away in that zone. Quite impressive! Also, notifications are sent almost instantaneously to my phone, which is quite remarkable, especially on the C120/121.PTZ (panning/tilt/zoom):After initially acquiring several TC121 cameras I decided to try out the PTZ camera and ordered a C211 half expecting to return it. To my amazement the image quality both during the day and night was very good, especially at night. In some ways the nighttime resolution was better on this camera (and C216 which I purchased most recently but in retrospect should have gotten its black brethren, the C217…). The C211 offered great resolution for near and far and the C216 was even better for near but not so much for distance at night. I have the C216 in a small room and was blown away by how vibrant and clean the image looks at night.Initially I thought I would be utilizing the PTZ feature to its full extent but eventually found that I preferred one fixed setting as opposed to continually panning around or tracking a subject. Unless you’re using it to track a pet it can be unnerving if someone were to see that the camera is fixated on their every move. If it wasn’t for the excellent night vision image quality, I would have returned the C211 and C216 and acquired another C121. The C121 image quality is excellent during the day with nicely saturated colors and quite good at night inside the home. I have a couple of C120/121 mounted outside, and they have performed flawlessly including one that is positioned inside a window looking out. It continues to amaze me how well it can detect motion of people / cars from outside the window and provide near-instant notifications to my phone. And the image quality is excellent, even better than a so-called window camera I bought from another manufacturer and later returned. Of course, you would need to switch the camera from Auto to Day mode to cut out glare at night. I believe the starlight sensor in this camera is what allows it to render great resolution with minimal light even under this use-case scenario.Another great feature of this camera is the wide field of view, wider than any of my other Tapo cameras. Once I came to the realization that a fixed view is what I preferred out of my security cameras naturally it naturally made sense to have the widest view available for maximum coverage and that is another area where the C120/121 shines. Add to the easy placement options which include a magnetic plate and a small profile it becomes a tough camera to beat. No wonder it was awarded the top camera by PC Mag. The only cons are frequent chirping noises and the arms that can become loose over time.Other Tapo Cameras:Initially I purchased a C320WS camera but returned it for aesthetic reasons. Later I ordered a C325WB based on impressive reviews of its Color Pro Night vision but shortly after ordering from the Tapo website I decided to forgo but it was too late and I reluctantly paid $20 to ship it back unopened. Lesson learned: order from Amazon unless you are sure of your purchase decision. Incidentally I returned the C325WB because I did not want to spend additional money on accessories such as cable housing to achieve a cleaner looking installation. Also, oddly enough whenever I look at the two raised antenna arms they just scream “the point after is good!”In conclusion and based on 2-3 months of ownership, I am very pleased with my Tapo cameras and hope they continue to function well and last a long time.

Great cameras, night vision and motion detection work perfectly. App is easy to use, lots of features are free. Seamless connection to wifi.
