top quality boots
I ordered 2 pairs 5 year's ago to alternate each day (stops you getting bad feet and allowing them to air out properly between use) so this is a long term review in the real world.those complaining you can't tighten them learn how to use this kind of boot properly. over the course of about 8 weeks you'll need to break them in to the shape of your foot and leg. (not break them in for comfort) so each day you will tighten them a little more than the previous day, the leather will slowly conform to the shape of your foot and become less bulky looking.2 the metatarsal protection will slowly sink into the boot with the leather as it becomes used/ worn in, again less bulk more fitting to the top of your foot and becomes more comfortable.3 the weight of these boots is 1085g per boot which is very lightweight for a high leg boot (most steel toe caps weigh 1kg to 1.8kg for a mid boot) if you feel these are heavy then get a office job.4 the soles are great, very quite. I get called a ghost at work because I'm constantly making people jump as they don't hear your footsteps coming. very good in wet an slippery conditions, the sole is designed to shed mud instead of caking up.5 bonus tip after a few months of use don't untie them, just unzip and unhook the laces from the top hooks and slide off. reverse to put on.6 do clean the outside off, just allow them to dry brush them off and wipe with a damp cloth. I'll give mine a coating of Chelsea leather food every 6 weeks or so. it keeps them waterproof and stops the leather cracking.my next two pairs arrive today so hopefully they'll last just as long. maybe a revision of this review to see if rockfall have taken any short cuts to make production cheaper, if not see you in 5 year's time.

COMFORT FROM THE START ..
There are an abundance of boots that I had to trawl through before settling on these Rock Fall ones but I am very glad I did as it was worth the search.Buying boots in the right size isn't always the problem, for me, it is more the width of the boot .From when I first put these on, I was amazed at the room in the width and also the warmth, because if you are unaware, the boots are lined, not in fur, but a quilted lining that holds your foot securely in place. The zip down the side is very welcome and the boots are not overly heavy, about the same as DM's.Other reviews have mentioned the lack of a loop at the back of the boot to help in pulling them on and I have to agree that that is something they should look at as it would certainly help. But other than that, they are comfortable to walk in and don't feel like other boots where the material is so stiff it makes it hard to move your foot naturally while walking these are perfect and don't feel like boots at allAll in all, very comfortable, very sturdy, warm and waterproof. In the end, what more do you really need.

Best boots ever
I simply love these boots. Comfortable, hard wearing and they keep the water out. My last pair lasted 4 years and a year of that was on a bin round. Buy em! :)

Lack of service
Great boots but unfortunately not delivered, apparently damaged in transport which I find hard to believe, £135 pound I paid and now have to wait 14 days for a refund, disgusting service

Comfortable straight out the box
In the past I’ve had boots be uncomfortable at first and eventually mould to your feet. With these however I’ve experienced no uncomfortableness and been wearing them for 3 weeks. They have loosened a little with wear so I’m gonna tighten the laces again but on the whole they seem durable, tidy and nice looking boots. I work on quarries and in explosive environments so the fact that these tick all boxes having metatarsal protection and being anti static mean I only need one pair of boots for all environments. Definitely recommend 👍

The best boots on the market
I had these boots before and lasted 4 years worn everyday working in the ground engineering industry with concrete and mud. They are very lightweight, and the value for money is tremendous. Absolutely no leakage, the zipper is very easy for removing the boots and the quality is unmatched. You can stand in water up any depth up to the rim of the boot, and not worry about wet feet. Insulation keeps you warm in the winter. 10/10
