This would be for pharmacy use. Is the blade a "thicky" or a "thiny"? I want a thin one, not universally wide throughout to the end.

I whipped out my ruler and checked. They are 1/2" right at the handle and then angle out quickly to 3/4" for the rest of the blade. The thickness of the metal (which I would consider thin, but sturdy) is the same from handle to tip. I love these and have 5 of them. I have 6-year-old grand-twins and we've used them several years for icing, peanut butter on crackers, and all kinds of stuff ... and they still look brand new. They are great quality, wooden handle and nice durable thin blade.

What is the actual size of the whole instrument?

Actual I got two one is 71/2 in. long and the other is 10 and I like them both.

Does this have a serated edge for cutung sandwiches?

No. Both edges are smooth. It’s a small spatula.
