Product description Most collars rest on the strongest part of a dog's neck, giving them the leverage they need to take full control of the walk, and of you, too. The Pack Leader Collar is different. It keeps the slip collar at the top of your dog's neck so you can more effectively control and correct your dog during walks. Simply attach to a short leash (we recommend 36 to 48", or 91 to 122 cm), pay close attention to your energy, and give quick, firm corrections when necessary. To determine the proper collar size, measure the circumference of the throat at the base of the neck. Small 13" - 15" (33 - 38 cm) or for dogs weighing 20-40lbs . Medium 16" - 19" (40.5 - 48.25 cm) or for dogs weighing 40-75lbs . Large 20" - 23" (51 - 58.5 cm) or for dogs weighing over 75lbs. . Please note that this collar will not be suitable for dogs with short necks, such as pugs or bulldogs, or with long necks, such as Greyhounds. **Q: Will a small fit my 4 year old border terrier?**
A: But the clips don’t hold the weight of your dog? The slip leash attached to it does?!

A: yes you can be on any side of your dog, be sure to lift lead in a upward motion to avoid pulling.

**Q: Do you need to use a separate slip lead with this collar?**
A: Hello. You do not need a separate slip lead. You can attached any normal leash to the collar. Thank you

**Q: Will it fit on my 26 inch neck akita**
A: I purchased the Large size collar for my Dalmation who has a 21 inch neck. Once the collar is on and has been done up, there is only 3 inches sticking out once put through the loops to tighten. I do not think it will be big enough for 26 inch neck Akita.
