After speaking with the HVAC specialist that services my system I feel comfortable using the 1000 as it balances air flow and cleanliness.Pros-collects dust, dander and cat hair (3cats)-lasts anywhere between 2-3 months-arrow clearly indicates which direction to place tge filter (arrow towards furnance)Cons-filters are not individually wrapped (unused filters are stored in the garage where they can get dirty prior to use)If this review helped please leave a like.

A 4.6 is pretty Good, I give it a 5!!!I recently had a new central air unit installed, forgetting to even put a new filter in. As a 3 dog home, and some one with terrible sinuses (2 surgeries to open them) I do all I can to breath easy.Air ionizer, Honeywell air purifier, and got wondering why my sinuses started acting up at night......the old filter!These came today, I came right home, replaced the old (covered in layers or dust and hair and whatever else)Put the new one in it's place. After a good 5-6 hours, the house smells better, and the air is simply, easier to breath. I found my new go to!The air is just fresh and clear.Great price, Great filter.

I checked the filter after two weeks and found that it was literally sucked up into unit. I was able to pull it down and out and put the 2nd one in thinking it was a fluke. When I checked it the next day, same thing. These 3m are supposed to be the same brand I purchase from Home Depot yet the ones I purchase from depot are not flimsy and I never had this issue.Got me once, won’t be getting me again! Highly NOT recommended.

On a scale from 1 to 10 when speaking about filter density, these are a 5. And I think that this is a really good thing!Buying the most expensive filters that are very solid/dense can cause your HVAC system to work harder to draw in air. These filter out what you expect while allowing air to flow through without issue.I change my filters every month through the Summer months and when needed during the Winter months.If your windows are older, more particles will enter your home and make your filters need replacing more often.I've used the cheap filters, the most expensive filters and filters that you wash when dirty vs. replacing.I prefer these at this point above all others.

These work ok for our ac, but in research I found the MPR 1900 will filter 0.3 microns, the same spec as the N95! Also made by 3M. A coincidence? Lowe's carry this filter. I purchased a 16x 30 and the 16" unfolded to 80". If you make a standard 9x9" curt you can make the masks quickly. 10 minutes pr so. Be sure to install a 5" soft wire for the nose bridge. These can be made on a sewing machine and/or a glue gun or both. We made a bunch and gave them away. Our church is making them.

I have a strip of cardboard on top of my water heater. On it, I wrote DO NOT BUY THESE. It is for another brand of filter. When I used that brand, the cardboard frame would soften, and the partially collapsed filter would be near impossible to remove from the duct. In the process of removing/destroying the filter, much dust would fall off in the duct and get blown back into the house.Now, 3M/Filtrete has switched to these cheap cardboard frames that make removing the filter near impossible and result in re-depositing dust in my ducts. I am looking for another brand. For now, there are two strips of cardboard on top of my water heater that read DO NOT BUY THESE. One of them also reads Filtrete.

Not the real deal. Look at the quality of the real filter on the left side compared to the one I got from here on the right side. If this is a real 3M product then they have quality control problems- You decide.

We just moved into a Condo in Fla. and our A/C seemed to be not working right. Low air flow and not that cold. My son, who works in the heating & cooling field suggested we change the filter. So I went to Amazon & ordered filters. 2 days later they came and I put a new one in and what a difference it made. Not only is the air flow stronger, but it's colder & it doesn't stay on as long as it did. CHANGE YOUR FILTER! It makes life better.

Bought 4 in Feb when I used the last one which I had bought in homedepot last year. Expecting the same quality. But No, this one is very poor quality. But unfortunately, the return window passed when I found it. Won't buy it again.

Excellent medium range product: less expensive everyday on Amazon than purchasing at your local hardware/renovation store, even nore so when these are on sale, as in our circumstance (30% off everyday). Quality product, shipped well to keep the integrity of the product.

Mostly I bought this because I live in an butterfly sanctuary and it’s DISGUSTING. I’ve been finding wings in my babies diapers cause they must fly in his mouth when asleep. Now I’ve installed these and no more butterflies! Plus I sprayed their main breeding tree with diesel so good new Good news.
