This 5-in-1 wall scanner really exceeded my expectations. It accurately detects wood, metal, studs, pipes, and live AC wires, which gives me total peace of mind before drilling into any wall. The LCD screen is clear, easy to read, and shows exactly what the device is picking up. I love that it comes with an upgraded smart chip because you can really notice the speed and accuracy when locating different materials. The audible alarm is also super helpful, especially when you’re working and can’t constantly look at the screen. It’s lightweight, comfortable to hold, and very simple to use—even if you’re not experienced with tools. It has saved me time, money, and potential wall damage.

This thing works great with metal studs! I have tried a lot of stud finders over the years but this one works the best yet with metal studs. Would definitely recommend. Great value, easy to use. Has nice felt on the back of the device so as you slide along the walls you aren't marking it up.

Easy to use for DIY projects. Sometimes a bit temperamental and requires a reset, but accurate. Good quality for the price. Helped as we installed cabinets into a walk-closet and for hanging heavy mirrors and artwork.

I purchased this to hang a tv wall mount. I’m not going to lie, stud finders normally confuse the heck out of me and I get it wrong. I wanted something a little less primitive with more info than just a sound. So, I chose this one. This stud finder is ridiculously easy to use, straight out of the box. It was ready to use and within minutes I had found the two studs I needed to hang my wall mount. It lets you know when you’re getting close to a stud, with bars that get bigger as you get closer. Then it gives a precise location for the stud with a notch at the top for easy marking. It also warns you of anything electrical that you may hit, which I found to be a great addition. This is a great purchase that I found very valuable for the price. It was very simple to use and gave me peace of mind when hanging my wall mount.

In the Stud mode, the scanner continued to flash CAL (Calibrate). Instructions say "Note: In cases of the screen "CAL" icon flashes and the buzzer alerts when moving the device, it may be incorrectly calibrated, please move the device to a different position to re-calibrate." That made no difference. But then I found where the instructions say "Note: It is important to wait for the calibration completed (2-3 seconds) every time before moving the device." That did work, but it takes a few more seconds than that. It gives different results on stud location when I keep passing over the same area. I only use 1-1/2" mode to identify studs, and it rarely indicates the EDGE of the stud, but usually indicates just the CENTER location (which doesn't bother me as long as it's accurate). Instructions say "Hold the device steady, parallel to the studs, and do not rotate the device". But the purpose of the device is to identify studs, so holding it parallel to vertical studs that you know are present is one thing, but what about cross-studs (between the vertical studs) that are horizontal and usually halfway up the wall? Later I slid it across a wall where I already know the stud locations (every 16”) and it identified studs every few inches instead. Then I used it in the METAL mode to identify the metal corner brace that runs up the outside corner of the wall, right under the surface, that I know is there because I saw it when the baseboard was removed. Instructions state that the tool continues to re-calibrate it's own sensitivity during metal scanning. I don't know how to translate that. I held the tool vertically as well as horizontally while slowly sliding it up the wall corner and the tool showed nothing. Later I tried it again and this time it sporadically showed metal when holding the tool vertically, and nothing when holding it horizontally. It just simply has no reliability.

it works just for what it says. ezy to use. Highly recommended.

Inconsistent performance. Sometimes says something is there on one pass and then something totally different on the next.

Shipped this to the wrong address but after 6 months finally got it back to hang my taxidermied weasel and boy is she TOIGHT on that wall (stud)

Stud finder is incredibly easy to operate and at works very well , the product came faster than anticipated, and fully operational out of the box, thumbs up for this product, when this tool is misplaced or taken without being asked I will purchase this model as the replacement

Terrible stud finder. Beeps a lot and finds nothing. Used a magnet one and it was like night and day.
