Comprehensive and all-encompassing guide!
I have read the other books of Mark Reed’s and this is as research-powered and comprehensive as those are! I loved how the author has put in so much work into the “Introduction” which talks about the history of Linux and its influence several real-life instances. The book has a total of 14 chapters in all- something I immensely like in all of Reed’s books which have several books embedded in them.

Very helpful book
One of the very useful books for learning a new operating system of which I had no prior knowledge. There are plenty of exercises and examples in this book that are very helpful in the learning journey. I am just a beginner but I am sure regular practice with this book will make me an expert soon.

This book is an excellent read for learning Linux. The author did some great research before writing it. The author made it easy to understand for beginners to learn Linux. The tips and ways of learning has great ideas to teach Linux for beginners. The introduction to what Linux is was a great way to start this book.The author then goes into how to install Linux onto a computer. The directions were well written and easy to understand for the beginner of learning a new software for programming. The author gives some great insights on how to do administrative tasks that need to be done. They also give some great insights on exploring the vpns, and passwords as needed in order to keep security safe.The author also explains about other features of Linux and how to code and how the desktop works with it. I give this a 5-star rating, and would recommend this to anyone who wishes to learn how to work with Linux.
