Fun illusion activity set for kids
I recently ordered the Galt Illusion Lab for my son, and it's currently priced at £15.99. This science kit is an engaging and educational toy that has provided hours of fun and learning in our household. The kit includes nine exciting experiments that delve into the world of optical illusions. These experiments range from creating 3D images and building an eye model to testing out a periscope and finding hidden pictures. My son was immediately captivated by the variety of activities, and I appreciated how each experiment was designed to be both fun and educational. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, which made it simple for him to work through the experiments with minimal help. The quality of the materials included in the kit is quite good. Everything feels sturdy and well-made, which is important for a hands-on set like this. The components are designed to withstand the enthusiasm of young scientists, which is a big plus. The experiments themselves are well thought out and provide a good mix of visual tricks and scientific learning. However, there are a couple of minor drawbacks. Some of the experiments require a bit more setup than others, which can test the patience of younger children. Additionally, while the kit does a great job of explaining the experiments, a bit more background information on the science behind each illusion would be a nice addition for curious minds. Pros: - 🌟 Nine exciting and varied experiments - 🧩 High-quality materials and sturdy components - 🔍 Encourages curiosity and scientific thinking Cons: - ⏳ Some experiments require more setup time - 📖 Could benefit from more detailed scientific explanations This kit has been a great addition to our collection of educational toys, and it’s been a joy to see my son explore and learn with it.

Fun and educational science kit for small kids.
This is a great kit to keep the kids entertained and learning at home. Galt's Illusion Lab is a science kit that explores the world of optical illusions through nine fun experiments. The kit itself is nicely put together, with colourful bags that hide the surprise experiments inside. It's designed for adults to do with younger children (around 5 to 8 years old) and encourages learning through play. While most of the things you need are included, there might be a few things you'll need to find around the house, like pencils, scissors, and tape. My 7 year old son favourite illusion must be the eyeball illusion. The good thing about this kit is that it's both fun and educational. It explains the science behind the illusions in a way that's easy for kids to understand. Plus, being a Galt product, you know it's made with safety in mind. At first, the price of £15.99 might seem a bit high for cardboard and paper. But the kit is well-made and can be used again and again. Compared to magazines with just a few activities, the Illusion Lab offers a more engaging and long-lasting experience. Younger kids might need more help from a grown-up, but older ones can work on the experiments more independently. There are clear instructions and safety information included, so it's easy to get started. Overall, this science pack from Galt is a well-presented and entertaining kit that makes learning about science fun. It's a great gift for any curious kid!

Not great
Not great A couple of “experiments” couldn’t get to work, but a couple of them were quite good (the 3D ones) It kept my 5 year old (with help) busy for a couple of hours but I don’t think he will be keen to revisit it any time soon

A Science Kit My Daughters Love
Pros: I bought this for my daughters and they were hooked from the start. Each one is different and keeps them mesmerised by the optical illusions. I like that it matches the national curriculum. It’s a great way to combine learning with fun and make science fun for my girls. The illusions are really cool and my daughters love going back to them again and again. This kit encourages thinking and exploring which is exactly what I want from a STEM toy for them. The instructions are clear and easy for my daughters to follow so the experiments are hassle free for them and me. Cons: Some of the experiments are quite quick so my daughters sometimes wish there was more to do. Verdict: The Illusion Lab - Explore & Discover Children's Science Kit has been a great addition to our home. My daughters love it and the combination of fun, interactive experiments and educational content makes it a winner. Despite a few minor drawbacks the kit is a great mix of fun and learning. Worth the investment if you want to spark your child’s curiosity and love of science.

Educational set
This is a good educational toy set which would make a perfect standby gift for kids’ parties. It’s suitable for girls or boys and probably best for ages 6-8. For me the set involved a little bit too much parental input to be a perfect set. When I get things like these I really want to be able to leave my child to do it, but this is one of those kits where it’s best to sit down and do it with your child. I appreciate that this kit has an excellent step by step instruction book and that it comes with pretty much everything you need to do the experiments (except scissors, tape and colouring pencils). I think at £15.99 (at time of review) is a little overpriced for this type of kit. I’d prefer to pay a couple of pounds less.
