Reolink is an excellent system
Easy to install. Excellent night vision camera. Easy to position after connecting to the PoE station. We monitor the entire exterior of our home and Reolink is an excellent system, it works great.

Quality
This surveillance camera offers clear, highโresolution video and reliable motion detection, giving you peace of mind whether youโre monitoring your home or business. Installation was straightforward, and the app makes it easy to view live footage and receive alerts. With solid night vision and weatherโresistant construction, it performs well around the clock. Itโs a dependable choice for enhancing your security setup. I was very skeptical in buying these types of cameras. The sound, zoom, and its simple way to connect to the wifi was very good for me because, I am not very good with technology.

Fixed initial Lag issues with settings in Blue Iris = good camera now
E1 Outdoor SE PoE. Using it indoor through a window pane currently, PoE via a TP-Link injector I bought from amazon in the same shipment. EDIT (3-2-2026) : I was still getting terrible lag where this camera was 45 seconds behind my other cameras until I messed with it more. Right now it's running good with these settings in the reolink app: Resolution = 3840x2160, FPS = 20 , Max Bitrate = 4096, Iframe interval 1x, encoding format H.264. The blue iris app is still using the camera as Generic/ONVIF, Max Rate: 21.00 fps, receive buffer is currently 3.0 MB. I may increase the buffer if I run into issues again. It's running fine now, without the 45 seconds of lag I was experiencing. I'm not running their muddy low resolution sub stream for the preview windows at all, it's full rez. It just seems finicky to configure it in Blue Iris. I have two other Reolink poe cameras plus their poe doorbell cam, and none of them had such lag and need for extra tweaking. Incidentally, I didn't have any luck when I tried to connect it via RTMP mode instead, when I was trying anything I could think of to avoid the bad lag. Keeping the review at 4/5 stars. It's a decent camera with a good feed - but their other cameras I own were not as problematic (in blue iris). =========== Original Review / early experience : I thought it or the injector wasn't working at first but it turned out that my repurposed Ethernet cable from an older pc setup was at fault. It would allow the camera to initialize (camera motor turns the camera a little with some noise) - but it wouldn't show up in the ReoLink app until I swapped the cable to a new one. If, like me, you want to use this with Blue Iris or other onvif setup , the camera must be connected+powered+showing as having an ip address (on your router) and then you have to go into the Reolink app --> Network --> Advanced--> Server Settings. In that menu you have to enable the RTSP and ONVIF checkboxes (and hit Save at the bottom). Then the camera will be detected by blue iris. It helps if you know the ip the router gave it already, which you can figure out in your router clients page or in the Reolink app-->Network-->"Network Information" area. You can also go into the Reolink app-->Network-->"Network Information"--> "Network settings" and set the camera to a static ip address if DHCP reservation on your router is struggling to get the camera to the ip you want, if you want to keep it's ip the same. (Maybe change it back to dhcp later with the router reserving it once it sticks). The PTZ seems ok. There is no zoom, but for what I'm using it for, to see packages low on the ground from a difference angle that my reolink 2560x1600 video doorbell can't see, it works fine. ===== Other than no zoom, after messing around with some settings - my initial issue seems to be fixed, so I'm giving it 4/5 stars for now. The major complaint I had originally was that unless I kept the preview window in blue iris set to this reolink camera's "Low/Fluent" stream, the camera feed in the preview window would lag a minute behind my other cameras, and the PTZ control would also be very far behind, long after I click the direction arrow. This seemed like it wouldn't be a problem once I realized that neither the video nor the PTZ control would lag at all when the preview window was set to "Low/Fluent", where the main 4k stream would only show when I maximized the preview window, and recordings would be 4k. However the problem then was that the "Low/Fluent" setting has a very poor resolution - even for a preview window that is 1/4 or 1/6th of a screen size on a monitor. It looks muddy. It's worse than 1080p, which is what I was trying to avoid when installing 4k poe cameras. The "Low/Fluent" stream is listed in the reolink app as being only 640x360, and you can't increase this at all. If I switched the sub stream off, using 4k, it would lag at least a minute behind, so I was stuck with a muddy preview window feed. I have other 4k reolink poe cameras where this doesn't happen. They don't lag even if I turn the sub stream off entirely. HOWEVER , I think I figured out my camera settings in blue iris now. ๐ The original writeup was my frustration with the operation before I compared my other reolink camera settings I already had in blur iris. The search / Generic ONVIF setting was for this particular camera had auto filled some things differently than my other cameras, that were causing an issue. Mainly, the receive buffer in Blue Iris in this camera's video settings was set to "6.0" , and all of my other (mostly 4k, and one 1600p) reolink cameras are set to "3.0". Once I switched this camera to that, I was able to turn off the sub stream in the drop down menu in blue iris (and I set the main stream to "/"). Specifically, in BIue Iris: right click the camera preview window, click the camera settings "cog wheel" at the top of the menu, then click the "Video" tab and click on the "Configure" button that is next to the Network IP. In the panel that pops up: Under "Stream profiles" in the middle section, I set the Main to "(default)" and the right side entry of that to "/". Under that same "Stream profiles" section, I set the "Sub" to "none" via the drop-down. The "Advanced" section near the bottom of that whole panel has a place to input the "Receive buffer (MB)". It had been set to 6 when I added the camera. I now have it at 3.0 and it seems to have fixed the issue. I now have full clarity in my preview window and no stream or ptz lag, so I updated my review to 4/5 stars (I knocked one for the lack of zoom, would give it 4.5 if I could). I had removed the substream before, but I hadn't noticed that the buffer as set to 6.0, so when I tried that previously it would still have the issue. Seems like the buffer setting was it. I would never use that 640x360 preview window stream personally though, regardless, and so I would have returned the camera if I was stuck at that. Hope this helps someone. =====

Amazing for the price!
Got it for $70 on Amazon Deal Day. Quality is great. Love the PT motions. ReoLink has more expensive ones that don't have motion. The POE makes it incredibly reliable. As with all these Amazon ReoLink listings, the 512GB claim is false. All ReoLink cameras max out at 256GB, which is still a lot. Just don't waste your money on the bigger one, I think it formats it as 256. As with my other 5 ReoLink cameras, I added a 256G so that it always records. I can still filter out the activations, but if an event happens I don't have to worry about it not catching the critical moment because it's recording 24x7. 256GB costs $22 for Amazon Basics and it gives me about 7 days worth when recording at max resolution. That's plenty. Note: This can only be done with a wall powered camera, not solar-n-battery (side-note, nearly all solar cameras are a waste of money if you mind being frustrated).

Really nice for the price!
We have several older Reolink 5MP cameras that we like due to not having any fees and the ability to record 24/7. Bought this E1 POE SE for the tracking feature and the spotlight. So far, Iโm very impressed with this inexpensive camera. Tracks pretty good and the spotlight works as expected. I was pleasantly surprised at the improved detail the 8 MP camera gets over the older 5MP. Relatively easy to set up and the ability to store the video on an sd card as well as ftp the data or on a server makes this a great option for us. I do wish the vertical range was better but it can still do a good job with proper placement. Setup was easy once you have one POE camera, itโs super simple to add another. The one downside to this camera is that the cable sticks out the side of the camera. I would have preferred that it be able to be hidden under the camera like so many of the other Reolink cameras. A small issue that I think is solved with the more expensive cameras. Iโd give this 4.5 stars and rounded it up to 5 since the system doesnโt allow you to give 1/2 stars.overall, Iโm very satisfied with this purchase and would buy again.

Great product, easy setup with HomeHub
Love this product. The only hard thing to get done was to wire for power and for Cat5 hookup (location only, not the product itself). The WiFi works great when itโs close to the HomeHub but this one had some distance and needed a wired connection.

Great little guitar
This guitar, once you figure out the app and it's easy, actually works great for what is designed for.

Solid good camera
Solid camera with good picture and decent ai detection. Sound is weak and alerts are slow, not sure why. Poe camera eliminate need for solar but wire required so that is drawback. Not power button so not sure how to reboot.

The REOLINK E1 Outdoor SE PoE has been an outstanding addition to my home security setup. The 4K video quality is exceptionally clear, providing crisp detail across the entire yard in all lighting conditions. Even during heavy snowfall, the camera continues to deliver sharp, reliable footage. One of the features I appreciate most is the color night vision. It performs far better than standard infrared-only cameras, offering bright and detailed nighttime images that make it easy to see whatโs happening around the property. The built-in timelapse function is excellent as well. It captures long periods smoothly and consistently, making it perfect for monitoring weather changes, snow accumulation, or general activity over the day. It has quickly become one of my favorite features on this model. I also use an all-weather cover, which helps keep snow off the lens and maintains a clear view during storms. Combined with the cameraโs solid build, it handles tough winter conditions with no issues at all. Setup was simple thanks to PoEโone cable for power and data keeps the installation clean and the connection stable. The app is easy to use, alerts are dependable, and reviewing footage is straightforward. Overall, the REOLINK E1 Outdoor SE PoE is a durable, high-quality security camera packed with useful features. If youโre looking for a reliable 4K PoE outdoor camera with excellent night vision and timelapse capability, this model is an excellent choice.

I recently installed the Reolink 4K IP camera, and Iโm extremely satisfied with its performance. The 4K resolution delivers incredibly sharp and clear video, making it easy to see details like faces, license plates, and other important features. The night vision is also excellent โ it provides a clear, detailed image even in low-light conditions. Setup was straightforward, and the camera connects reliably to my network with minimal issues. Motion detection is accurate, and the alerts are timely, which gives me peace of mind when Iโm away from home. I also appreciate the build quality โ it feels solid and weather-resistant, so I donโt have to worry about outdoor use. Overall, this Reolink 4K IP camera is a fantastic security solution. Itโs reliable, high-quality, and easy to use, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to upgrade their home or business security.

I know that this is an outdoor camera but I am currently trying it out inside and so far I love it. It was super easy to setup, love that it is PoE and I find it picks up and tracks move really well. The app is easy to use and configure. The one thing I did have issues with was the memory card, I found the first 2 I put in it would end up failing to be recognized and in turn would not record. I found a third one on sale and the only difference I think was that this one went directly into the camera after purchase and was formatted by the camera. The first 2 memory cards were used and formatted by a computer at some point and then formatted by the camera when inserted so i don't know if there is any correlation but glad I got it to recognize.

I have used this camera for a few days now and find it to be good, though the Auto tracking function is not that great. Setting up and configuring was easy with the desktop client and accessing through web browsing was also quite easy. So far it is working as expected
